What is the basis for your curiosity?

Paranormal skills confound some people and intrigue others.  You may seek to redefine your views of the truth.  You may even dream of developing some new abilities.  Come what may, it would be helpful to uncover the reasons behind your apparent curiosity.  To do so, you benefit from asking yourself the following:

1) What are your initial impressions?   Some people get their first exposure to paranormal skills in popular culture such as film, articles and other media. Where did you first learn the term 'paranormal?' What about these skills appeals to you? Do you believe it possible or illusory? Who have you seen on read about with such abilities? How does it make you feel?

2) Why are you seeking further information?  Perhaps you are intrigued with a particular person you've heard about and would simply like to learn more about him or her.  Then again, you may have different underlying motivations. As you learn more about yourself, you are actually preparing your mind and perception to learn.

3) How do you hope to use these skills?  You always have a plan for your initiatives.  It may simply be unconscious until you discern and openly acknowledge it.  How you evolve and grow is highly dependent on whether you aspire to use developed skills for service or other purposes.

5 Tips to sharpen your psychometry skills

Imagine what it would be like to intuit details about people from handling objects. You can do it! It’s possible to discern things about people by holding items that have belonged to them, been worn or, frequently touched by them. In your dreams, what kind of information would you seek? What kinds of people would you help?

Psychometry describes how people interpret energy vibrations that are emitted from objects. Decide what you would like to know. Next, proceed to learn how to go about it.  Recognize that all thoughts and feelings give off energy. Its like an frequency blueprint that you can learn to perceive. Your state of mind is key. When will you begin? Consider these five tips to sharpen your psychometry skills:

1) Prepare yourself. Sit comfortably with your feet grounded on the floor. Relax your mind. Close your eyes.  Touch the palms of your hands together at chest level. Move your hands close together with fingers pointing upwards. Move them apart. Repeat.  Feel the energy. One hand will emit more heat/ energy. This is the dominant one. Place your hands on your thighs with palms facing upwards.  Get ready mentally and physically to receive.  It's vital to be receptive.

2) Ask for an item. Request that someone place the object of interest in your dominant hand. Common items include jewelry, watches, scarves, and shoes. Someone may simply have a question for you about the owner. Objects and clothing that are used frequently will offer the most details about that person. 

3) Sense the item. Make your initial assessment with your eyes closed.  Share images or thoughts that come to mind. As you detect the item it in your hand, notice the texture, discern any scent or other details about the object. Which of your senses becomes most intense? Consider how the object provides insight into the person’s thoughts, emotions, and significant events of that person’s life.

4) Examine the object with eyes open. Ask yourself which parts of the object stand out. What do they tell you? As you relax and trust your intuition, you will offer additional ideas about the person based on how you apply your vision and third eye.

5) Accept whatever comes. Some people can touch an object and read its entire history, that is, where it came from and who has been associated with it. Such depth often requires focus, patience and practice. You may have heard about individuals with ‘psychic abilities’ being able to gain insight into a person's location or fate based on reading objects. Accept all images or feelings that come and be grateful. The more you trust and have faith, the easier the key details will just flow.

5 Ideas to explore the power of scrying

If you're intent on exploring altered states of awareness, scrying offers a unique approach to dreambuilding. This area of divination isn't for everyone, yet it may excite you.  In order for this exercise to be truly uplifting and empowering, your subconscious mind must sense a point.  Why would you choose to do it? Will it be alone? With a group to share experience? This isn't meant to be a shot in the dark. 

You can read about scrying and how other people have evolved to focus their attention.  People use it as a means for soul-searching or hoping to condition better concentration for listening to their inner voice or even contacting spirit.  Its useful to note many methods and mediums exist.  Someone else's choices won't necessarily be yours.  Over time and through practice, you will discover what feels right.

1) Choose a scrying medium.  Some people prefer scrying mirrors or the flame of a candle.  You might prefer smoke, crystals or a bowl of water. Choose what you would like to focus on.  Place it on a table or other furniture at eye level or easy to focus upon. This kind of self-hypnosis can illuminate you at soul-level.

2) Set the mood.  You may dim the lights, select and burn incense, close the curtains or make other preparations to create an ambiance of relaxation and privacy.  Its advisable to eliminate possible distrations.

3) Begin with a ritual or meditation.  An incantation or reflection will create a sense of moving forward.  Some people also play soft background music to help them strengthen concentration.  Other people incorporate muscle relaxation exercises.

4) Focus on the object.  Its not necessary to stare.  You can blink.  The aim is to learn to empty your mind and to focus on enhancing your sensitivities.  You may observe 10- 20 minutes initially.  See what you sense in the medium.  How does it change? What do you see? Use all of your senses to scry and determine whether you piece together images or sensations of significance. This is a personal process.

5) Interpret what you see.  You may decide to do this through automatic writing  or sketching as you go along or after you have finished the scrying.  Some people use a tape recorder.  Images may seem to appear or follow an 'aura of light' or a 'cloud of mist.'  Images may also appear to coalesce.   You may ask what this means.  That's up to you. What you see could be symbols of the subconscious or may be real people, events or experiences, past, present or future.   Creative brainstorming has emerged through this process.  Believe what you will.

10 steps to awaken your third eye

It is felt that the third eye is active and makes wider sensing possible as humans dream. As the physical eyes are closed, the physical mind works in conjunction with this heightened sensitivity. Many people wonder how they could learn to open this third eye while conscious. What if learning is not the issue but rather, getting out of the way?

Consider the third eye," is where, as the Bible notes, "thine eyes become single," where there is no longer a difference between male and female, and where "the peace that passeth all understanding" dwells.  Another view is that deepening awareness enables a seer to access Godhood. Allow yourself to truly be open and receptive to this other eye.

To deepen awareness, you must truly believe the third eye exists and know the pineal gland used to be the third eye.  It is actually a cosmic receiver and sender of multi-dimensional information.  This gland gets calcified (blocked from functioning/ seeing) as you ingest fluoride and certain foods. You can research this.  A good rule of thumb is to stear clear of processed foods and high fructose corn syrup. You may choose to alter your standard food and beverage diet and toothpaste brand, and drink purified (non-fluorinated) water to decalcify the pineal.  Watch how seeing takes new shape.

You may think its desirable to force the third eye open quickly, like with a drill.  This is not advisable.  An unexpected bump on the head, meditation and yoga are practices that help quiet the mind. The gradual or spontaneous rising of kundalini energy has a huge impact.  When you are ready, the third eye reveals itself.  Ask yourself why you want it open now.  What is the urgency? Did someone tell you to do it? How do you suppose this can serve you?

It is relevant George Boyd explores the attentional principle (purusa). As you evolve to separate yourself from its vehicles; the astral (used in dreaming), causal (your logic) and mental (assumptions), you discern how the third eye functions alone.

At its core, the nature of your attention is like a wave of self-understanding. When you focus at this level, you move from contemplating your 'attentional principle' to being it. Different kinds of meditation focus  attention on the expansive view of the third eye.  Engaging the third eye reveals that you are raising your core vibration.

Practice of Purusa Dhyan Meditation (Based on work by George Boyd)

Sit upright in a chair, or in a comfortable cross-legged position on a sofa or, on a cushion on the floor. Loosen your shoulders. Do head half head circles. Close your eyes. Focus attention at the point between your eyebrows. Shift attention to the areas blow for 3-5 minutes each. Discern experience at each level, then move on:

1) Sense what it means to sit 'here & now.'
2) Become aware of sensations arising from the external environment 'in the now.'
3) Detect sensations arising in the body 'now.'
4) Feel emotions arising 'now.'
5) Recognize thoughts arising 'now.'
6) Reflect on 'I AM' statements, with related thoughts, feelings, & memories.
7) Notice memories and impressions bubble up from the Subconscious.
8) Identify the present sense of time is being recorded in memory.
9) Refocus attention be move through each chakra of the Subconscious mind.

After you have completed the 9 steps above, you are ready to focus attention behind the point between the eyebrows towards the top of your head. You will encounter a presence behind this center that silently observes. Focus more intently on this presence. You will begin to see and feel light emanating from this presence.

Affirm quietly, "the self, the size of a thumb, is seated behind the two eyes. It is self-effulgent light. It is consciousness itself. I am this consciousness." This outlines the attention principle. In a nutshell, its your third eye that expands your vision within when your two eyes are closed.  How detailed your visions become begins inside.

4 Benefits to learning to read auras

Some people believe evidence doesn't justify "the paranormal," unless it is our own lack of understanding about innate abilities. If you decide to disbelieve or not exert effort to see auras, this concept will remain beyond you. If, however, you evolve to experience things for yourself, you'll no longer require convincing. Rather, you will know what its like, feel the underlying energy, and grow to decipher it.

Each human is basically an energy being. Particles of energy vibrate and create Aura signatures. They enable us to gain insight into a person's personality and conditions. Aura colors have meaning based on the mental and physical body. Our ability to see and understand auras has potential to change as we raise our spiritual awareness.

Scientists believe the human Aura is partly composed from EM (electromagnetic) radiation, which combines microwave, infrared (IR) and UV light. The low frequency microwave and infrared part of the spectrum (body heat) seems connected to low levels of body functioning (DNA structure, metabolism, circulation). High frequency (UV) is grounded in conscious activities like thinking, creativity, intentions, humor and emotions. It helps to grasp distinctions as part of your learning process. Why would it be useful to expand on your perception and learn to read auras?

1) Nobody can lie to you undetected. To see an aura is like seeing into another person's thoughts before you hear spoken words. Meanings of aura color are clues about levels of stress, anxiety, frustration, integrity other feelings and talents the person has, may not discuss or, consciously recognize. If your sense aura levels incompatible with what a person says, you detect lies. People can't fake Auras. You only accurately detect them if you sincerely believe without ego-based motives.

2) You can discern accurate intentions. They reveal our innermost nature and intentions. When you detect a bright aura, its clear this person is good and spiritually advanced, even if the person is humble or unaware. To discern a gray or dark aura, reveals a person shrouded in doubt, low esteem, insecurity and other negative energies which have been permitted to control. As you refer to updated tables of aura colors and meanings, you will be in a position to expand here.

3) Its possible to sense health issues. Auras offer a means to detect malfunctions and imbalances in the physical body before symptoms become visible or magnified. Learning to consciously regulate your aura is a strategy you can use to heal yourself from within. This can compliment or eventually replace other healing approaches.

4) Elevate your consciousness. Human beings most often emit dull Auras. This stems from materialistic attitudes that suppress the development of consciousness. Ask yourself how much control is exerted by feelings such as fear, envy, jealousy, greed and other ego-based scepticism. Negativity suppresses your inner self, your knowledge of why you exist and your potential. As the result, auras become reduced in intensity. You forget what they are and focus instead on lack rather than the perfection you are. Choose to go further than just remember what you are.
