What makes you so sure?

What convinces you that you are alive right now? How do you know this is not all a dream and you will soon awaken? Consider this situation carefully. Draw from whatever senses and perception define reality for you.  Nothing is right or wrong. It is how you choose to sense it at this moment.

it is fun to consider thoughts like this, but there is no need for me to feel convinced. i simply embrace which ever reality i am aware of; this one, the dream one, the visionary one, etc. all of them feel like reflections or experiences of various aspects of myself and life.

When we are convinced of something, we lock ourselves into a particular frequency of perception.

Why not
1) Of course this is a dream
2) This is also reality
3) this is also an illusion
4) We bring dreams into the world
5) This is Hell
6) This is heaven on earth
7) We are alive when we are excited and receiving inspiration.
8) We are dead when we are locked up in cycles and un-useful point of views.
9) We are always awake from some point of view.
10) A part of us is always asleep
11) We don't know what we are doing
12) On a deeper level we know exactly what we are doing
13) Everything matters
14) Nothing matters at all
15) Matter only exists where we place our attention towards making it seem solid and real
16) We are all connected with a specfic function. If one person is asleep, then another is awake to pick up the slack. A collective unit is simultaneously asleep and awake like north america can be in the dark while Australia is experiencing light.
17) We are god. How can god be asleep. If he is, then god is dreaming.

Because my fingernails have grown a bit too long on my left (fretting hand) and they are annoying me, I keep fiddling with them. Off now to trim them finally and see what else makes me feel alive.

Tammie, a statement of acceptance reveals you choose to find meaning in whatever events are percived to unfold. Expansion is ongoing, never-ending & life transforming. You inspire love energy. To focus on feeling gauge is key.

Bernie, imagine energy essence as the wind, invisible to the physical eyes, yet noticable and shifting constantly based on systems of flow. In a similar way, the energy is light body entering your being and expanding not only to fill every crevice but also far beyond human perception. Human beings are taught they must sleep yet other entities do not have this ingrained, physical dependence.

There are many times when I have considered this state to be a dream. And I have come to accept that it wouldn't be that crazy.

So while I don't think I can ever be 100% sure, something within me says that as much as I feel, think or know here, I am still not getting the whole story. Only a fraction of my consciousness is here in this physical realm, my greater, higher being and many other individuations have the rest. I think it will only be if I can connect to my higher being after "death" or even here if I can get to that point that I will know a greater aspect of "life" and "living" than I was ever able to feel before.

Jannie, when you cut yourself and feel pain, this confirms a connection to physical states of mind. Moving beyond discomfort also indicates that other states of being and feeling exist. The sensations of love and joy are often given as evidence of aliveness. How each person experiences this is subjective, internal and timeless.

Evita, you are always connected to your higher being, though part of you denies it or chooses to resist. It is by raising consciousness that one works through these illusions and reconnects with what the core knows. Death does not exist. No need to wait for it to transform.
