What is your most recent revelation?

Part of the purpose of this blog is to encourage and guide different stages of awakening. Every human being experiences "ah-ha" moments, that is, those periods where you realize you know useful things. Such an experience enables you to be aware you feel good, and choose to generate similar feelings.

Take a few moments today and share a recent revelation of your own here. What did you learn? How does it help you?

Hi Liara,

My big ah ha moment happened just a few days ago. I realized that I run away from pain. I guess the running is almost like an addiction. I also recognized a strong vibration of guilt. I can see that the guilt vibration is perpetuated by running away. I feel guilty for running, but do it anyway. Now that I am aware and see the pattern, I can make better choices and face pain so I do not feel more guilt.

Hi Liara .. I've learnt through the hospitalisation of my mother, that I can look at things in a positive light and put those thoughts across to others to help them in their situation, and the friends I've made since being in 3 hospital over 2 years are still there .. and comment on it & their relatives, also comment - it gives me a huge boost, while I keep going.

Thanks - Hilary Melton-Butcher

E.Michelle, to be aware of how you feel after the fact is a step toward feeling sensations as they happen. You gradually learn to anticipate feelings before you physically manifest them. As you grow alert to the energy shifts inside, then you are more equipped to pin point the root cause and work through that at your own pace.

Hilary, the revelation you share is a definite inspiration to others. To realize positive thought energy carries over to affect other areas of your life shows you exert more inflluence than you might have thought. You realize it is not about you, but about how energy is connected with everything everytwhere. Your mood affects other people.

I realized that a past life experience helps to explain why I am not eating as much as other people currently assume is healthy for me. I am in the process of working through my feelings about food and body image. This "ah-ha" moment is already transforming my life.

I've realized (recently, too!) that the more layers I peel back, the bigger my heart becomes, and the bigger my heart becomes, the easier it is to be around absolutely everybody and just let them be who they are. When my heart is bigger I not only love them more, but I love me more, which means I can simply observe situations with a detached third-party presence that previously would have had me tied in knots.

Love, love, love

Hi Liara,

My revelation is that no matter how long or short the days are, I can be happy within that time frame. There are no reasons to postpone joy when we have the gift of life. Simple principles such as gratitude, compassion, kindness are acts we can do without effort. Being a vehicle for love carries people to places they forgot they could reach.

I've had at least 3 or 4 mini ones ah-has so far today as I've witnessed myself feeling annoyed at my loved one for leaving belongings scattered around. I am trying to tune into these judgements I make and just flow with things as they are.

My latest realization was something very simple and something I know theoretically but have to still put well into practice experientially. I have become much more conscious of any thoughts that I have that "waste" my time literally. So many of us complain of not enough time, but if we stopped wasting our time on thoughts that don't serve us and get us out of focus on what we really could be doing - like adding value to the world (which is what personally inspires me) we could get so much done!!!!

So I am off to a nice up north cottage for the rest of July, and very excited about quieting my mind, and reconnecting with my spirit more, and just being. I intend to really focus even more on releasing thoughts that do not serve me, so that when I come back I can be fresh and rejuventated to put it into practice here at home :)

Hi Liara .. thanks .. I had realised that .. and I know I help others through my own learning process. As Janice, the healing spiritual lady said, "you empower others" - thus giving them choices ..

Thanks for your support -

Good Sunday afternoon to you, Liara.
How are you today ?

First off, thank you for the sweet - and true - comment you left on my blog...

Second, the most recent revelation I got (and they seem to come with pleasing frequency when I am loving to myself and doing the work of figuring out what effectiveness is and is not with Spirit's guidance :)) is that...

I cannot be hurt emotionally without my cooperation.

That everything is a learning too.

That what people say often says more about them that it says about me, and I don't have to react to their anger or unhappiness and take it personally if someone has said something unkind - and I also need to examine it to see if there is a core of truth to any of it, and then decide what I am willing to do about myself and how I communicate and behave and perceive things in return...

That peace is there if I focus on it. As is happiness. As are the many many blessings...

I am choosing to learn. *LIGHT*

A few weeks ago, I was reading a post by Jenny Mannion and she mentioned that, to start a new habit you just need to do one little thing. For some reason, that statement was like an AHA moment for me. For many months, I have been struggling to reacquaint myself with my tai chi practice and am constantly fighting myself over it. So I decided to take her advice and just promise myself one little thing. I promised to only just practice twice a week. This is a very small amount and it almost makes me feel like it is TOO easy, which was just the thing I needed to convince myself to start.
Anonymous, as you learn to separate how you feel from how other people would like you to feel, then you come to your consclusions about your own health and well-being. It can be hard to hear your own inner voice when external voices are telling you their opinions. Learning to listen to your physical body is a process that gets easier as you choose to be honest and love yourself unconditionally.

Megan, as you realize love is infinite and you are love, the human side of you learns to stop attempting to measure joy or its impact. The silent observer is taking everything in. The authentic you recognizes any concept of lack or incompleteness is imagined on a psychological level.

Alexys, what a beautiful sentiment you choose to share. As people move beyond the confines of human-perceived time, they begin to realize that love has no boundaries. Principles ingrained to guide an authentic life are always within reach for limits are only ever imagined to help you remember who you truly are and what you are made of.

Jannie, every "ah-ha" moment is strengthening your immune system, shifting your consciousness, slowing the aging process and opening your senses in ways you have yet to fully grasp. What I am saying is you are taking quantum leaps into the joy of being that authentic you.

Evita, all things being equal, physical initiatives are as meaningful as psychological, spiritual, or other ones that help bring you to a state of conscious presence. The end point is realizing where you are, where you have never left and all you have been doing to fool yourself just for fun.

Hilary, you empower others with every choice you courageously make. The mind does not have time to muck around and create problems unless you choose to do so. You are in process of remembering what is natural and unnatural. Every step helps you help others too.

Loving Annie, its helpful to remember that Eleanor Roosevelt said, "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." You permit others to intimidate you ro not.

Amy, every experience, every stage of your physical existence, is as easy or as hard as you choose. Mental discipline reveals that it is truly as simple as that.
