Choose eternity over time

What ego wants, you come to expect. Why is that? What can you do from this moment to shift focus?

Any decision of the mind affects both behaviour and experience. Consider feelings that ground you in a sense of physical time. Guilt may trigger regret, and evoke fears like retaliation or abandonment. Ego may convince you the future simply repeats the past. What if nothing the ego perceives is interpreted correctly?

As you step back and witness ego, notice its judgment of what is worthy makes something worthy for you. Notice only loving thoughts are timeless.  To rediscover a sense of eternity reminds you who you are.

I am finding any time I am feeling "bad" it somehow relates to ego. Guilt, as you say. Replacing guilt feelings with timeless love feelings is an incredible gift available every moment.

Not letting anger build or stay is a choice.
Fear is ego in another change of clothes.
Ego slips into a coma when we surrender to that we resist.

Jannie, choosing to shift how and what you feel is similar to changing clothes. Human beings hide behind a sense of fear and also sometimes choose clothes to conceal their true self. As one removes all clothes and discards emotions that do not serve them, they stand naked in front of a mirror and can begin to remember that all they feel, all they are is unconditional love. How many people stand naked in front of the mirror without embarassment or negative thoughts and genuinely speak this truth to their reflection? External messages often distract one from the truth. On some level, one exists to recognize selective awareness and also to remember how to remove the blocks that imprison mind.

naked in the garden of eden is a great way to go!! Joni Mitchel sang of course, "We've got to get our way back to the garden," But the garden is always here and flourishing -- we just need to open our eyes and hearts to it.
