7 Keys to Optimal Living

What if you could get closer than ever before to living optimally? Begin by jotting down what this means to you in the short  term. Use as much detail as you can. You can add details about medium and long term to this at another stage.

For now, ask yourself how would you go about grounding the short-term vision. What can you do to feel better about yourself where you are now?Which steps can help you inspire self-directed initiatives and positive change? Invite you to begin with these seven tips to get closer to optimum living:

1. Identify repeating patterns or challenges that come up for you

2. List negative feelings that have been arising

3. Be sillier and immature more often (i.e. pillow fights, laughter, tickling, spontaneity)

4. Join us for our weekend rainforest hike

5. Take up a regular spritual practice alone or with a friend

6. Watch movies in a genre that evoke your humor and light-heartedness

7. Schedule in time to explore new ideas, innovate and connect with new people

Share your ideas and experiences for living a more fulfilling existence.

I love science fiction and fantasy movies and series. I am currently watching the Expanse, Timeless, and the Shape of Water just arrived from the library. I am even watching Lego Star Wars.. lol.. its actually pretty good. I enjoy watching how they convey ideas to young people.

I see that living optimally will include everything that i have ever been interested in and packaging it into one moment where the best of all stimuli will shine at once. A part of my perceived problem in the past year was that something was amiss and needed rectifying, which on some level was true. I felt that way for a reason, so i was in the process of mourning something that was dying and feeling simultaneously a part of me that is waking up to something very new. In some ways i felt emotionally raped and stripped of my merit. But instead, it showed me places that i was in need of healing, where previously those wounded regions were sleeping and hiding beneath the surface of recognition. The turning point came through a series of honest discussions of feelings between me and my ex and how in some ways we were feeling the same things and perhaps even sharing in the same pain. So over the period of less than a year a pattern was developing concerning who i was attracting into my life without even me going out looking for it. Since i felt incomplete, i was receiving calls from those that echoed this emptiness that i am to fill on my own. Another turn for the better is through my being able to ground myself more fully to the earth now that spring has sprung and is arising and arriving in new spirit. I am landscaping and working with the soil of the earth which is lessening my desire to always be somewhere else other than where i am at. I am not sure if connecting with new people was the answer for me at this time. Paradoxically, these new people showed my more dysfunction in my life showing that i have to be on my own in other ways. But yes, i guess i should get out there, but maybe not. :)
