Giving back

The altruistic voice within may prompt you to want to give something back to the world. This may involve offering your time, money, advice or other initiatives.  Take a closer look at the dream, at what you are really doing.  Look deeper.  Heed the wise counsellor inside:

1) Whenever you wish to give, notice if something inside actually feels full or empty

2) When you offer advice, notice whether it is actually something you need to hear

3) When you donate time, notice true generosity is something that cannot be reciprocated

Love these wise observations, Liara. How about a fourth one:

4) When you give, who are you really giving to?

Thanks,
Steve

Giving is the gift to the giver.
And we always have everything we need.

Steve, appreciate the observations, suggestion and presence. Anything "you" give is always back to yourself. "Need" is an imagined state of mind. The urge to give draws attention to the impulse. It points to love that is being requested and received in the same moment.

Jannie, love the view that giving is the gift of the giver. Thanks for sharing everything here.

Some people say its better to give than it is to receive. However, in my paradigm they are of equal value. But what is there of value in giving anything unless it is received especially for the gifting event. People get empty gifts and gestures much of the time in human culture, because the gift doesn't fit in with the receptivity or spirit of the moment.

Consider that the soul receives information or light energy or inspiration through spirit. However, when we give something that is important to someone and from the heart, we gift them the spirit of the moment or the masculine energy needed to fuse with the feminine which then completes any desired intention or wish. Therefore, one gifts a symbol or a gesture or words that unlocks tension, or solves a riddle, or helps the person receiving the gift complete a task of any kind that releases tension in the mind, or which can create a greater open space within the heart.

Therefore, one has to receive inspiration to regift or repackage inspiration or spirit to be received by the soul one is hallmarking. This then has nothing to do with altruism. It goes beyond self sacrifice into a place of Collective Self Service.

This then is analogous to a psychic reading or where one telepathically can communicate with the object of one's attention and can then insert the right information or code that will allow the recipient to let go of something. This then is not done on a whim or at an appropriate date or time. It is performed in each and every moment where a potential connection can be made.

Bern, consciousness is playing a game. Something always does what something can do. The pure awareness self that you are is awaiting discovery. It is beyond giving and receiving, allowing and resisting. Self is the awareness itself. Remove the costume and that which is not caught in any role remains. This is intimacy. Where no phenomenon remains, essence is. Anything that arises can only arise in what is already here. It is perceived by that which cannot move.
