Expand your perspective

Each day offers new opportunities to learn more about the power of positive thinking in your own life. You may underestimate what it can do to support you in reaching new goals.  You can do more than simply observe changes in yourself.  You can become an active participant and act to transform your visions and hopes into your new reality.

As you decide to acknowledge the power you exert in this moment, you will experience a rush of positive energy.  What does this mean?  It means you begin to make the connection between believing in yourself and realizing you are expanding your vison of what is possible. How you think determines what you experience.  Make the connection.

Imagine how your life will unfold as you grasp you can create and release limits your own limits.  Decide to unleash different kinds of perspectives.  Consider the benefits of taking the following steps:

1) Prepare your mind.   Learn to quiet your mind.  It makes sense to re-evaluate what you think would be good for you at this time in your life.  Whatever you have done before suited who you used to be, but it may no longer be relevant to how you see yourself.  Preparing mentally for positive change is like getting ready to expect and experience it.

2) Release control of damaging thoughts.  From the moment you choose to let go of the limits you define and perceive, the boundaries you set, and the restrictions you assume about what is and isn't possible, you begin to build a new perspective.   As you let go of worries and concerns, your view of potential expands.

3) Surround yourself with positive mentors.  Choose relationships that uplift your spirit.  Encourage yourself to challenge what you think you know.  Seek people who are more experienced or knowledgable than you are in areas of your interests.  Your sense of self evolves based on the energy vibrations, attitudes and behaviors in your midst.

Move beyond simply thinking positive

If you tend to spend a lot of your time imagining where you're not, allowing your mind to wander away from the 'here and now', then you may be missing the key to realizing dreams.  It may be time to take a new, more proactive approach.

People will ask me about short-cuts, about full-proof strategies, to achieve the key to their deepest longings or greatest passions.  No single mindset will necessarily work for everyone.  However going further than simply thinking positively can help:

Recognize when you're avoiding what you want

You may desire to be in a siutation where you feel more comfortable about who you are and where you are, yet constantly avoid what evokes the real fear and uncomfortable emotions. I'm not talking about your current job or relationship or what you assume is the source of disquieting emotions.  I mean the idea of avoiding the initiatives, the risks or other steps you think success would require.  Avoiding change may convince you you feel less vulnerable in the short-term, but this will not enable you to confront your fear or enable you to feel less afraid.

Let fear in your front door

Are you the sort of person who arrives in a new situation and is already wondering what you could do to leave?  Did you think you were ready to embrace new responsibilities and already contemplate how you could get out of them?  To intentionally take steps which invite change, which bring you face-to-face with uncertainty, can be a very effective way to go further than simply thinking.

So, if you think about what it would be like to have a different job, apply for it.  If your mind repeatedly wanders to thoughts of a place you've never visited, boldly travel there.  If you ponder how your life would evolve in a more loving relationship, become the change you wish to experience. Take the next step.  Believe in yourself.

Learn to take the high road

Why is it so many people are preoccupied with failure? How many people do you know who are taught that if they aren't always kind, generous or worthy, that they won't like the punishment that awaits them around the corner?  Why do some people believe evil will triumph over good?  Why imagine evil must exist at all? You can decide to see a bright side where you are.  Positive thinking is the higher road.

1) Justice is dispensed on its own terms.  It is not for us to judge what we could never understand.  Even if people have wronged you and you would like to see them get what's due, its advisable to keep to your own purpose.  This includes lessons in forgiveness and understanding.  Seeking paths that enable you to grow will keep you on track to realizing your dreams. Rise above thinking, "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth."  Such a view prevents you from taking the higher road. Positive thinking means sensing benefits in conditions that may initially evoke hard feelings.

2)  Fear and misconceptions are your own creations.  Did you ever think you are the source of your perceived problems as well as your own solutions?  Your own thoughts never intend to harm you.  They aim to raise your awareness.  You simply choose the things on which you focus, from feelings to people or events.  You have reasons for your choices.  They will either keep you on your path or enable you to veer off of it.  Its up to you to get-to-know yourself to tell the difference.

3) Life is experiential.  Opportunities to use your senses mean you also have occasions to learn valuable lessons.  Conditions of uncertainty where you have no boundaries or rules enable you to uncover who you are.  Consider why some people convince themselves its easier to lie than to tell the truth, why its easier to do nothing rather than to face something your soul tells you must be done.  Why would you choose the easy road or an assumed, more difficult path? It all relates to lessons you wish to learn.  You choose your lessons and means you will take to realize them.

Radiate & stretch your mind to receive

Have you ever thought that if you desired something, you could make it happen? You may not realize the Universe can produce whatever you desire, so long as you don't undermine it with doubt.  No need to grasp complex math or formulas.  This is the magic of positive thinking.  It works whether or not you think you understand it.  You radiate your energy and stretch your mind to receive what will be coming:

1) Build your experience and expand with every accomplishment.  That's right.  As you build your confidence, you widen a sense of possibility in different areas of your life.  You come to expect good things and they take shape to enrich you.  You get what you ask for, whether its a conscious or unconscious request.

2) Align yourself with what makes you feel good.  Summon the power of desire.  Your level of contentment or satisfaction reveal whether you're behaviours are on track.  Permit yourself to visualize and experience the benefits of those things you ask for.  Feel excitement, anticipation, joy, and bliss.  Its all shaping your future.

3) Discover you can achieve any desire.  None of this, "but, I don't know..." or, "he won't let me or, she won't let me!"  Its impossible to receive what you desire and to resist at the same time.  As you take steps to recognize how you're blessed, to express gratitude, you uncover all the evidence in your favor.  Will you listen?

4) Take responsibility to experience your desire.  Decide you will live in a state of pure joy, that there is no dream you will not accomplish.  Remind yourself of your abilities and your potential.  Guide yourself to environments that enable you to focus on your truest inner power.  Remove all mental and emotional blocks to feeling health, well-being and harmony.  Eliminate all negative thoughts.  Connect the physical life force to the deepest desires of your soul.  Believe in yourself 150%.

4 Tips to stop undermining your own progress

How often are you asked what you really want? You may evolve to the point where you answer, just before you begin to apologize for why you can't do the thing, why you've postponed it, why its not affordable, why you aren't yet ready, why you don't yet have enough of what you really need. This implies your subconscious and actual words are undermining your progress. Its time to stop making excuses. What can you do about it? How can you focus on more positive thoughts and new progress?

1) Practice affirmations. Take time to write out 25 reasons why you will follow through with your desired project. Include why you feel capable, ready, focused, detemined and prepared. Consider additional ideas about consequences on your mindset, attitude and overall self-view. Explain why you believe in your success.

2) Nurture prosperity consciousness. If its money or other prosperity you seek, its important to do what it takes to develop more confidence in how you imagine success is already unfolding. What reasons do you have to feel energized? jubilant? talented? self-directed? engaged? guided? and more aware of what you want?

3) Reiterate your desires. Speak and write about at least 25 wonderful traits and qualities you are. You might rephrase what you think you desire in different ways so as to gain new insight. This will deepen your understanding, boost morale and enable you to reframe hopes and plans more concisely. You are what you think about.

4) Review & purify your intentions. Go through the visualization process. Experience how your life will be when you have accomplished this thing that means so much. What will you be doing differently? How will you feel? Imagine how you can serve rather than say to yourself, "what can I get out of this?" You attract favorable outcomes with less ego and less desire to rigidly control all aspects of a situation.
