Unblock energy to facilitate positive thinking

Ever wonder how to you could grow to control you thoughts more effectively? If your mind often thinks about food and criticism of your weight, you may find it hard to focus your mind on anything else.  If your mind often reprimands you for what you're not doing or what you haven't done, you may sense its a challenge to turn things around.  If you tell yourself you're in  a rut, you may ask how to get out.  What it would take?  Its time to explore strategies to develop more positive thinking.

The key is to learn to grasp the energy at your core and realize how  and when you use it.  We all have conscious and unconscious intentions.  Some people are very aware of how they think and how this translates into their actions.  Other people do not consciously connect their behavior to thoughts and don't realize the links. How are you using your energy to further your most sacred or heart-felt intentions?

While you're in the state you are right now, reflect on what kinds of choices you have made in an area of special importance to you.  Which choices did you assume you did or didn't have?  Reflect on your conditioning.  Who told you to believe certain options were open or closed to you?  As you open your mind, do you see many choices now that you weren't aware of before? What could you do differently?

The key to unblocking energy is to realize how you think and why. If you believe your too fat, too skinny, to tall, too short or, have some other issue with self-image, this results from people you have known, experiences you have had, and how you have reacted and adopted the values and attitudes of others. The nature of positive energy flow inside you is directly related to how much you love and accept yourself.

Transform outdated habits

Wherever you are, you might not yet feel as though you're embracing your destiny as fully as you could be.  You may readily accept doing things you aren't passionate about.  You may devote time to activities that do nothing for you.  You may wonder when you'll finish even before you start.  Ever hear the phrase, "old habits die hard?"

When how you choose to live your life doesn't stimulate your enthusiasm, doesn't inspire you, it can seem monotonous, pointless, even down-right boring at times.  Some things may have become habits.  Ever meet a person who doens't know the meaning of the word "boring?" Do they glow with happiness or limitless energy?

You need not continue to live as you have been.  As you examine your life and become aware of certain choices that don't work for you, this is a sign its time for a different outlook.  All you need to do is re-train your mind.  It requires some effort and a little discipline.  Think of it this way: you are who you are because you think how you thought.  You are where you are in life because of choices you made in the past.  This said, life will evolve, but only when you're ready.

If some aspect of your life is getting you down, then that's where you need to focus new kinds of attention.  You can listen to motivational tapes, go to seminars, read uplifting books, write and state affirmations aloud.  All these kinds of things can positively affect your attitude. What else might you explore? How you think about yourself is projected into your life choices.  Who you spend time with and how they treat you reflects whether or not you value and respect yourself.  

Granted, its unlikely a career can be changed overnight or, a relationship will evolve differently at the snap of your fingers.  If your health has been in flux, you may not have an immediate recovery.  However, adopting the mindset that your situation can change will make all the difference.  Ask yourself these three questions:

1) What do I really want out of life?

2) Who can I contact/interact with who motivates and excites me?

3) Where will I seek wisdom and lessons from outside myself?

40 Tips for an Exceptional, Superb & Powerful Life!

1.) Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.

2.) Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Buy a lock if you have to.

3.) Buy a Tivo (DVR), tape your late night shows and get more sleep.

4.) When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, "My purpose is to___________ today."

5.) Live with the 3 Es -- Energy, Enthusiasm, Empathy.

6.) Watch more movies, play more games and read more books than you did in 2006.

7.) Make time to practice meditation, yoga, tai chi, qigong and prayer. They provide us with daily fuel for our busy lives.

8.) Spend more time with people over the age of 70 and under the age of six.

9.) Dream more while you are awake.

10.) Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less foods that are manufactured in plants.

11.) Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat blueberries, wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds & walnuts.

12.) Try to make at least three people smile each day.

13.) Clear your clutter from your house, your car, your desk and let new and flowing energy into your life.

14.) Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.

15.) Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.

16.) Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid with a maxed out charge card.

17.) Smile and laugh more. It will keep the energy vampires away.

18.) Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

19.) Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

20.) Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

21.) You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

22.) Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.

23.) Don't compare your life to others’. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

24.) Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, and wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.

25.) No one is in charge of your happiness except you.

26.) Frame every so-called disaster with these words: "In five years, will this matter?"

27.) Forgive everyone & yourself for everything.

28.) What other people think of you is none of your business.

29.) Time heals almost everything. Give time, time!

30.) However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

31.) Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.

Deny the power of fear to conceal joy

Within you isn't what you consciously believe is there.  Your invisible core is comprised of what you choose to have faith in.  That's right.  Provided you decide to give no energy to guilt or fear, then they can't survive.  In your mind, you can refuse to believe in them.  What you really want is to deny the power of fear.  It assumes it can conceal joy.  Prove fear wrong.   Choose to spread positive feelings instead. 

In other words, by interpreting fear as the positive affirmation of the hidden love, you undermine the ego's perceived usefulness.  You project fear to hide your limitless source of joy.  How quickly we forget.  What if the only purpose fear has is to cause us to forget the power of love?  Would you permit negative feelings pull a fast one over you? If so, you can always change your mind.  See through the veil.

Rethink each situation or experience where you're tempted to succomb to pain and fear.  Consider what happens when you consciously make an alternative choice.  Interpret in sickness, criticism or wrongdoing against you to be a call for attention, compassion and love.  Offer to others what they seem convinced they're unable to offer themselves.  You will feel more complete as you help others see reason to nurture positive thinking.  Rekindle new faith in yourself and in others.
