Maharishi Mahesh Yogi & 12 ways to access soul

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi introduced the world to transcendental meditation techniques. You may choose to explore them. Fundamentally, you my ask, why meditate? What does it do? Consider these 12 ways to access deeper parts of yourself;

1) Nurture mindfulness. As you acknowledge how you think, you learn the power of pausing in your life, wherever you are.

2) Strengthen attentiveness. As you become more aware of what you think and feel, you begin to uncover hidden reasons.

3) Promote detachment. As you identify strong emotions, you lower the intensity and minimizes their hold over you.

4) Settle the mind.  As you address reasons for feelings, you consciously learn to calm down and respond differently.

5) Lower stress.  As you grow more conscious of your mood, you shift and change how you channel your energy flow.

6) Develop greater acceptance. As you attune to the nature and flow of energy, you move to accept your perceived pain or other circumstances as they are.

6) Become less judgmental.  As you deliberately accept more, you project less criticism and quash impulses to judge.

7) Cultivate senses.  As you quiet the inner judge, you open yourself to senses and abilities you had quietly disregarded.

8) Expand faculties. As you open your senses, you awaken faculties had been dormant alongside.

9) Reframe well-being.  As you access senses and faculties you had forgotten, you reframe well-being around those experiences of simplicity, patience and love.

10) Build harmony. As you reframe well-being, you build new levels of harmony in relationships and life perspectives.

11) Extend world peace. As you extend the reach of harmony within and without, you actively contribute to world peace.

12) Access answers. As you contribute to more widespread serenity, you begin to realize that everything you need already exists and comes into the physical from where it is right now.

Notice the signs

Signs are messengers that offer a glimpse into your future. They provide insight into your current self and conditions. Signs offer clues about how you feel where you are and where you're heading.  They are subtle hints about how to lead a more balanced, harmonious life. If you aren't where you wish to be, what do you read from signs?

You may experience from a dream about a prospective business partnership and see the mask of your prospective partner is revealed. If you feel uneasy about what you see, and this remains when you awaken, your intuition may send you warning vibes and you may rethink your choice. Years after such a dream, a person I know looked back and recognized her own prophecy. Be pleased about foresight.  You notice signs on so many levels, yet do you really pay attention?

Reflect on the sort of people you keep running into. What does this reveal about your state of mind? You may encounter homeless people looking for shelter, gypsies panhandling or, stray animals wandering about salivating at your lunch. Everything is a sign pointing to how you feel.

Each of us develops conditioned beliefs about what we can and can't do. You may be told you're clumsy, you're inept or that you won't ever realize what someone else considers foolish dreams. Yet, your own thoughts actually project into what you perceive and hear all around you. The people you run into or seem to meet at random will in fact result from deepset beliefs in your unconscious mind. That is, if you were criticized and chose to believe it, your whole life will seem to reinforce it.  Notice what happens as you recongize the power to change how you feel.

So, are you noticing happy, smiling, healthy people who inspire you or, do you only see people who complain and alienate you in some way? How do you feel about what you attract? Others also attract you into their lives so to open the door of their hearts and learn valuable lessons.  If you say you desire more of anything, you perpetuate the illusion of dissatisfaction.

Whenever enters your life is nothing unless you judge it. The time you sense elapses between that moment and any imagined future permits you to decide how to respond. How do you feel? Notice the signs all around and within you. Everything points to the love that is always present.

Ease into the flow

Relationships with some people come so easily while other relationships seem awkward and strained. You may ask why? How can you get along so well with a friend or colleague and have parents, a partner, siblings, in-laws or other people, causing you to feel self-conscious or 'out-of-place?' What is the nature of incompatibility? What does this tell you about harmony?

As you get-to-know yourself, sorting through feelings and vibes gets easier.  You actually know yourself better than anyone, yet may temporarily lose confidence.  Rest assured, openness is a trait you have as a child and you can tap into it at any moment.  Why do you think it felt much easier to express your feelings more directly then? Ease into the flow;

1) Be more aware. Ask the source of love in your life what you need to work on. Keep an open mind.  Watch which emotions arise as you listen and hear the observations. Discover negative vibes  are not telling you about people so much as why you resist expressing love. Invite love to come in and replace negativity. Zero in on why you may think someone won't accept you or like you, and why this matters. Reasons for discomfort you thought you'd never solve resolve themselves. Issues actually begin in your own imagination.

2) Open your inner channels to feel. Recognize that anxiety or worry are telling you valuable things about your complaints and reactions to particular people. What do you fear? What might other people fear about you? Allowing your energy to flow reminds you the more fulfilling life you envision can't come if you're stuck in a mode of self-criticism. You can't control what others may think. This is an invitation to release thoughts you outgrow.

3) Feel good about yourself. Your own desires create, deepen or sever relationships based on what your mind allows. If someone clearly asks you not to contact or interact with them, it's their call. Such people have and may deny their own issues. As you release your own negative thoughts, any unwanted energy will dissipate and stop controlling you. What remains is grounded in compassion.  Trust this process and negative energy won't return.

4) Accept flashes of insight. The truth is that quieting the mind enables you to reframe the relationships you live. Observing your own thoughts and behaviour triggers flashes of insight.  The mind says all pieces will fall together and the heart knows no puzzle ever fell apart.  Intend fulfilling relationships and this is your experience. All is always well.
