Part the clouds & move ahead

Now here's a quirky thought: what if your perceived success today not only grows from what you choose to learn and apply from earlier experiences in this life.  What if your stumbling blocks to greater fullfillment and happiness relate to a past life memory?  Insight into past life regression has helped people break undesirable patterns of behavior.  How might you empower yourself to move forward now? Would you be willing to take steps to learn, listen and read yourself differently?

Consider a man who was having trouble with his rebellious son.  The boy was bullying other children at school and refused to obey authority.  The man had a difficult time forcing his son to conform.  He was at his wit's end.  Yet, he also only saw in others what he desired to see.  He was also blind to some of his own destructive patterns.

The day came when he had the urge to investigate his own view about one of his past lives.  He assumed he had a certain role and status in history and he sought a specialist to have his view confirmed.  To his surprise, he learned his assumption was slightly inaccurate.  His attention was also drawn to some unresolved issues from that past life that were repeating in himself and his son in this one. He decide certain of his habits required attention.  He realized he was repeating negative and hurtful patterns.  His son was like a mirror who had been conditioned.

That glimpse of past life regression prompted this man to seek counselling and psychotherapy.  Gaining insight into one of his past lives empowered him to acknowledge and address negative patterns within himself. By his own initiative, he took steps to unlearn and reteach himself new habits which transferred into his proferssional and family life.  He redefined success from inside.  He changed his career and found new ways to serve others. He parted his clouds and moved ahead.

This story teaches that each of us is in the process of learning soul lessons.  We will only change ourselves and our circumstances when we're ready to progress.  This will happen at our own pace.  Every choice we make, every person we meet, will offer useful things if we decide to see.  Remind yourself you experience everything for a reason.  If you decide to access a past life, it makes sense to gain insight into how to heal a neative pattern in your current life.  Such an experience doesn't have to hold you back.  It can propel you forward. How will you see success next?

Accept the obvious

Notice what happens as you block out external conditions, as you not longer judge whether or not things 'go your way.'  As you cease to focus on the controllable, this somehow lifts an invisible burden you create for yourself. Experience joy and success without doing anything.

For some people, success is felt as excitement, a sense of triumph or overcoming something. You may tell yourself you feel better after knowing hardship. You say you know better what its like to have and be without something, and recall where you've come from. What happens as prevailing thoughts are seen as they are? Notice what happens as you recognize being peaceful is itself a reflection of intrinsic success? It actually affirms all that you are.

What does success mean to you? Perhaps it means thinking about a specific person and then, being contacted that person. Does it mean to forgo the short-term or superficial gains in favor of patience and intangibles? Perhaps it means a reawakening to a purpose deep down inside . Perhaps you're results-oriented and success represents actually holding things. Maybe its simply sharing problems and answers or, lessons learned.

Celebrate life.  Whatever it holds can be seen as a kind of success. Control your thoughts and trust in what is emerging. Sense you can undo anything you've done and creatively weave it into something new. You are the wisest about your own life. The Universe never gives you more than you can handle. You can find blessings in all encounters. Nothing and everything is success.

In direct experience, you know success. Its grounded in love, honesty, acceptance, well-being, trusting  in yourself and the universe.  Nobody and nothing are required. Be the light.

You make it all up

Each person forges a path, decides on his or her dreams, and evolves based on innermost wishes. You may even imagine your life as if you already taste the experience of forthcoming success. Yet, what does all this mean? Would it be possible for your mind to transform reality into the images projected by your own mind? And what of success you may be living in the here and now?

As you reflect, you begin to realize that mentors, guides or idols all do precisely what you would have them do. You admire them because you aspire to be like them. Part of you desires to usurp their power, rise to their status, adopt their view or lifestyle. You make it all up; who they are and what significance they have for you.

To experience a different kind of success, you must move beyond examples you have created and projected. To do so, its useful to decipher your true values and the underlying motivations for your choices. If you aspire to be a famous bodybuilder, does this imply you feel insecure and unaccepting of your physical body? If you desire to engage in thrill-seeker activities, would this mean you crave attention or aim to face fear? Success seekers have hidden reasons for their quests they may not even recognize. It’s amusing and enlightening to reframe your understanding of the truth.

Success is a proposition created in your mind, based on your values, and perceived wants or needs. Money for example, will buy material and other things, and it has its own place in the hierarchy of illusions. Miracles and a sense of success may transcend borders. Where you believe you originate and what you think you’ve accomplished don’t have to matter. To establish meaning in your life means you make some kind of satisfying contribution. Attract the life you desire.

Create your own road map

Whether or not we realize it, many people may influence our understanding of "success."  Consider how you view different areas of your life; personal, professional, spiritual, leisure, health and well-being, and others.  Each pursuit or project you undertake comes with conscious and unconscious hopes and dreams.  These goals and your view of a timeline, will assist you to create a sense of accomplishment.  People you meet and read about tend to shape your life.

Whether or not you feel "successful" begins inside yourself, based on your own self-evaluation, judgement and level of self-acceptance.  To whom do you compare yourself to and why? People around you may ask you questions about what you do, how you live, why you feel as you do, and assess your success based on their knowledge and life experience.  Only you can determine what works for you.  Your view of success right now will differ from what it was and from what it will be.

Recognize somebody else's view of success will necessarily differ from your own because how you live your life is unique.  You may adopt similar end-goals to people you admire.  Yet, your milestones, your thought-process, your perception and attitude will always be your own.  Your choices will also be your own.  You create your own road map to success.  This will involve your desired 'pitstops' and learning curves.  All experience is worthwhile.  Many such memories are worth sharing.

Do it your way

To dream of success is like to pave the way to what you desire, or is it? Have you learned to do things your way or, are you in a process of figuring out what this is? This picture will evolve to include different components at different phases of your life. How you perceive and understand your thoughts will reflect how well you know yourself.

For example, I spoke with a financially-successful businessman in his early twenties. He made some smart investment deals and then became involved in retail. His business partner is Indian (born abroad). This partner's mother has decided the business partners will take a trip with her to India to find suitable wives.

Consider that these men have different ideas of business success and also about their respective personal lives. New facets of success may or may grow out of their upcoming trip. Neither man truly desires to go for the same reasons, and both have agreed to go for reasons other than those initially intended by one business partner's mother.

Each person, when viewing success, may have an ulterior motive, a secret dream unknown to others. Would you share how you really feel? The individuals in this scenario who plan their trip to India may well discover they will have gone for reasons unknown to them even before their departure. Time will tell and your intuition leaves clues.

Some dreams are dormant. Some dreams are waiting. Some dreams are created from the moment you conjure thoughts. Do it your way. You'll make the right decision for you at the right time.
