6 Ways to confirm your mystical side

It may surprise you to learn all humans have a mystical side. Yet, not everyone acknowledges or accepts the truth. Not everyone consciously explores and expands this either. Unconditional self-acceptance is often daunting. Do you struggle to identify or explain things that do not flow through the traditional five senses? As you work through fear, you discern something remarkable in the sixth sense and beyond.

As you listen closely, something orients you to areas of personality that seem unbalanced or out of control. What is it about mysterious encounters that are so difficult to explain? How do you sense and work to accept that mystical side?  Consider 6 ways to bravely confirm your mystical side;

1) Experience defies words. You think in metaphors, sense visions of symbols, and register foreign sensations. This happens during dreamtime and changing consciousness.  Ever sense who is calling on the phone before you answer? Ever predict what someone will say before sounds are uttered?

2) Experience affects life as you know it. Your familiar life is temporarily put on hold as mind switches focus. You suddenly know things and are unsure how. ESP strengthens. Bursts of insight fill the mind. You sense deja-vus. You meet people and already know how they help you. Your base of understanding is shifting. You read energies and sense what others feel. You anticipate and circumvent reactions.

3) Experience transcends time and space. You are aware of unity with the Absolute, of immortal soul, of something beyond reverie. This experiment is your created life. Its bringing you back to oneness with creation. The feeling emerges from a reinforced connection with cosmic consciousness. In the blink of an eye, you are it, it is you.

4) Experience is intense and fleeting. In human, linear time, this means it does not last. Yet, in some way, how your mind, body and spirit register what is happening seems much longer, like the world round you is in suspended animation. Advanced mystics prolong this experience and gain from meditation. The value of the indescribable is in the after effect. You may catch a glimpse of a spirit or ghost and suddenly go from believing in possibilities to knowing what is true.

5) Experience evokes kundalini energy. This phenomena is described among Kung bushmen of Africa, in Sufism, Taoism, Buddhism, Hinduism and shamanism. You may detect heat, energy, bursts of pain and spontaneous body movements. You sense a wrinkle in matter is opening. The base of spine feels it.  The sensation extends up through the back to your crown chakra and beyond.

6) Experience humbles you.  Instances exist when something beyond you, beyond the physical world, is clearly in control. This is apparent in trance states, mediumship, intuition, loving inner voices, dream visitation by spirit, contact with spirit guides and angels, Out-of-Body Experiences (OBEs), astral dreaming, premonitions that come true, healing power and links to higher wisdom.  You cooperate as a channel, telepath, empath, teacher and willing student.

I would like to get to the point where I am totally at peace with my impending "death" from this plane. The more I read your blog I know it is surely just a great transference of energy but still, the impending transition frightens me as it's kind of a biggie in the great unknowns.

Not that plan on going anytime soon, mind you! I'm in great health.

Liara,

This post was scary...in a good way. I have experienced many of the six things you listed...well at least one through 4. I haven't gotten to five or six. I never really thought of these happening/feelings as being mystical..they seem just part of my life. For me, they also come and go. I haven't figured out yet how to step into them on my own...perhaps you might consider a post about this?

I enjoyed this post very much. Thanks:~)

It is this mystery that makes life all the more enjoyable and interesting! Yes, there had been times I felt something's going to happen, and I've had dreams that came true :-) There isn't always a logical scientific explanation, but we just "know" and we are thankful for it all.

Jannie, physical existence is all about learning to handle and even come to relish transitions. As you grow more aware of your emotions, you realize you are a spiritual being in the process of shifting consciousness on more levels than you register at this moment. Every human being is born a spiritual person, yet life conditoning often gets in the way to obscure the truth. Inner work enables you to become conscious of misplaced fears like anger and jealousy for the primary purpose of teaching yourself emotions are unfounded. All the while, mystical experiences fill the mind as new levels of soul dialogue. To move beyond negative energy is to begin to value sensations you had not chosen to accept before. Things exist even when you deny they are possible. To open mind opens much wider floodgates of as yet unseen experience.

Jocelyn, being thankful triggers a chain reaction. Suddenly, more reasons to be grateful present and fill the mind to focus your energy. Growing spiritually begins in phases where you learn how to feel, to recognize that emotions that do not appear to serve you actually stretch you. During the psychological expanding process, the mind is challenged to question the basis for fear and rediscover the sacred. As you grow more conscious of what is sacred, you discern that every experince is sacred. Mystical experiences connect you to something familiar you are starting to remember. The certainty inside you is unwavering from the moment you tap into it in the now.

Sara, as you point out, "mystical" is just another label for what some people view as perfectly normal. Increasingly, such experiences are not out of the ordinary. People rarely question what is common. It just happens. As awarenss grows, you realize mystical experiences are not things you actively initiate. They unfold or, come to you naturally when you are mentally and psychologically ready. As you raise awareness, you grow to appreciate physical experience and you open parts of yourself that experience things inexplicable by scientific method. When you accept something fully, you do not doubt. You have no reason to question what is. This is unconditional acceptance. It is a process everyone journeys to attune and return to love.

Liara,

In confronting and accepting our mystical side, we also confront and accept our multi-dimension. We are so much more than we think we are and so much smaller than we think we are.

Hi Liara,

The experience of meeting the Other-than-being, the experience of a relationship with the Mystery it's the very basis of Mysticism. However, at the same time, I'd like to add that there is a mystery, a small other-than-being in every being; from every person there is a dream to be learned.

Alexys, fear-based emotions are of low frequency. They do not survive as a person raises energy vibration. As a person accesses inner courage, secrecy, privacy an emotional upheavals become things of the past. You gain insight into both sides of polarity and dissolve resistence. You sense much more to what is going on than you capture within human perception. This invites mystical experiences, to open your mind to what else exists. It is another way to encourage you to detach from ego mind.

Miguel, another way to expand on what you say is to recognize every hman being is part of the same dream. Many small bubbles of experience are interconnected through energy vibration. The mystery you describe propels the mind into realms of intrigue while the soul is well aware of exactly what is unfolding. Its is pure love.

This is an important post. Yes we are all mystical yet most of like to remain in their confined self limitations and ignore the obvious fact that we are so much more that we see in the mirror and more than our five recognized senses. When we remove our limitations and let go of fear it is incredible what we discover!

Mark, a person gradually learns what it means to be at ease with himself. To do this requires a person accept a given moment fully, with all the apparent events and emotions. Upheavals are precisely what a person needs to shake the self into deeper awakening. IN this way, the mind is gradually being prepared by the soul to accept what has never changed behind self-created illusions.

Hi Liara. "Ever predict what someone will say before sounds are uttered?" Yes. It happened today while I was on the phone with someone. I had an impression (metaphor), observed it and let it pass. Then, a couple of minutes later she voiced that same metaphor. I love when these things happen. I wonder though how many times it happens and we are not aware of it; when it is one-sided, for example. Had this person not given voice to this, the "connection" would have passed unnoticed.
May 16, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterDavina
Davina, every person chooses what to notice at a given moment and also what to overlook or disregard. Basic things that facilitate more genuine channelling of energy or telepathy include; a clear mind, the intention to bond or understand with the another, underlying integrity and the willingness to take levels of responsibility. As a person becomes more self-aware, and more self-reassured, this strengthens the character traits that facilitate clearer channels of unseen dialogue. You find yourself not needing to ask people certain things. You already sense their answers. This process of tapping into inner knowing is an extension of opening the self to expanding love.
