What wisdom do fireflies offer?

A moonlit stroll in the forest enables you to sense noctural beetles.  They invite wake-up calls, shift attention from what does not matter so you awaken to what is. As beacons of light, they flicker in code.  What wisdom do such fireflies offer?

1) Your body becomes weightless. Part of you seems to float.

2) Your breathing slows.  Energy changes vibration inside.

3) Your feelings of pain, frustration, and all illusions diminish.

4) Your sense of time dissolves to focus entirely in the now.

5) Your intake of color, sound, and smell, grow much sharper.

6) Your mind, body and spirit respond with restful awareness.

7) You reach a level of inner silence where peace is accessible.

8) Your soul recalls insight of empathy, tolerance, forgiveness.

9) Your perspective shifts from the self to interconnectedness.

10) Your being merges with expanding love and divine unity.

Hi Liara, Nothing says summer time to me more than watching the free floating beauty of a fire fly on a warm evening as the sun sets and the sky darkens - I just love them! I had a visit from a pair in my dream the other night and delighted in watching them there, too. Thanks for reminding us of the big lessons that come from such small wonders of life!

Karin, every thought you have creates your reality. Whenever you permit anyone or anything outside the self to create your reality, this you get lost in misperception or misunderstanding. Yet, when something encourages you to snap out of apparent, linear reality, this influences your focus. Suddenly, you allow yourself to experience things outside the 3-dimensional. You sense differently. You realize there is much more going on than you typically choose to notice. You work toward more than one thing.

Hi Liara,

Fireflies are so magical. They are like little fairies that carry a torch. It's beautiful to watch them dance across the night sky, it's like nature's ballet.

Some species can generate both red and green light which I interpret to be stopping the old and staring the new.

Alexys, to change and manipulate perception, we each become conscious co-creators. Every energy being is slowly developing a new sense of order. People view reality through highly-specialized senses and yet you cannot sense the reality of anything outside your senses and ingrained beliefs. Other realities exist. Each experience has for its purpose to open your inner eyes. Space as you assume, is not reality. The universe you perceive programs you. Events are mental and psychic events. What will happen when you are no longer who you are now? Consciousness is a perpetual state of becoming. Consciousnes is like a firefly. Both flicker off and on. Neither is ever extinguished. Overall rhythms hide infinite energy pulses and variations or perspectives. The changes are each transitions within and between realities. Every person is learning to use new freedoms and abilities.

Hi Liara,
Fireflies...always so much fun to follow in the nighttime sky. And always pulling me in to the "moment". I love what Alexis calls them - little fairies with a torch! And they do draw us into the moment, to being amazed and reminded of the awesomeness of this earth we live on.

Lance, this existence is an enchanting and magical as you choose. Your experience follows the spiritual realities you create.

Hi Liara. Your sense of time DOES dissolve -- I remember watching fireflies when I was a child. Magical awareness indeed! Thank you for reminding me of these little ones.

Hi Liara .. fireflies - I haven't seen many, but I remember a few when we were children amongst the hazel nut trees .. I always think of Tinkerbell in Peter Pan when fire flies are mentioned with her darting light.

The peace of a walk in the woods at dusk would be lovely .. perhaps tonight when I'm away with friends ..

Your ten points are so descriptive - thank you

Davina, nature offers infiinite subtle nuances to awaken the senses. It is useful to reconnect with nature on a regular basis. Each experience is an exercise that leads you back to yourself and jogs the memory about inner wisdom you selectively forget or ignore.

Hilary, the physical world is full of magical experiences that many people choose not to notice. As you open your senses, take time to 'smell the roses,' you discover there is far more going on than you ever imagined. Shakespeares' play, A amidsummer NIght's Dream is a prime example. Enid Blyton's books and many other stories arise out of existing truths not everyone is ready to accept and live. You can shapeshift and meet characters you choose in dreams. For many, that is easier to accept.

Fireflies are especially meaningful musically to me as the children at Kelly's school wrote a song called "Firefly" during a camping trip. Right there around the camp-fire the song was born! And we sing it almost every Friday morning during the weekly song celebration assembly during her school year. It is on the school's song CD too. Beautiful.

Jannie, human beings often underestimate the magic they are involved in right where they are every moment. Each person is intimately connected with Nature, her creatures and objects that appear inanimate. In reality, everything in every realm, physical and non-physical, has personality and soul. Every experience awakens parts of hidden self.
