Redefine surrender

Surrender yourself to positive thinking.  Create a heathier image of yourself on the inside.  You can turn any situation around with your mind. Listen to the words that are coming out of your mouth.  What ideas are you reinforcing? How are you spending your time? What situations are you talking about? You may not realize that destructive thoughts lead to destructive words and a destuctive focus that holds you back. Your word choices themselves strongly influence your life.

In some areas of life, surrender is not perceived as a good position to take. You may assume this means giving up. Many people assume it only means giving up the power you could exert over yourself.  If you think like that, you forget surrender can also be very empowering.  If you let go of negative thoughts and resolve that issues will work themselves out as you focus on what matters, Higher Forces will intervene. Voluntarily turning your attention away from destructive people and how they hurt you or manipulate yoru life is like surrendering yourself to a better life.

You need to apply uplifting thinking in your life in order to make good things happen. They won't simply unfold for you if you don't choose to believe them. How could you redefine the power of surrender in your life? What kinds of thoughts would you be willing to give up in order to better yourself? You have far more influence over the evolution of your life than you may realize.

All your feelings, beliefs and knowledge are based on your conscious and subconscious thoughts. Realize that you are in control, whether you know it or not. Each of us can be positive or negative, enthusiastic or complacent, active or passive. The biggest difference between people is their attitudes. Why not decide learning will be enjoyable and exciting? Tell yourself that learning is taking you places. It is more than a phase along the road to a job or a lesson that applies only temporarily. It defines your attitude. Choose to believe to be a believer in yourself. Surrender to faith in yourself.

Light of hope

As you realize your value is intrinsic, positive thinking becomes more accessible.  You learn to look beyond, people, societies, systems and circumstances.  You don't have to worry about whether or not you'll meet someone else's expectations or prove yourself valuable.

You don't have to try to understand why someone walked out on you, abandoned you, cheated you or, treated you in some other way which causes you to lower your self-worth.  You start out as 'a somebody.'  You're free to build on that as you choose.  You're never a nobody, not even from birth when you set out with a clean slate.

Rather than focus on how far you have yet to travel, places you have yet to see, chapters of your life on the horizon, why not turn that around and pat yourself on the back because of how far you have already come?  No matter what destructive words you've heard, they don't control you.  Ther rejection of other people doesn't have to cause you to reject and dislike who you are.

Consider the story of the transparent glass with water in it. Some people regard it as being half full.  Other people see the glass as half empty.  Still other people wonder about the relevance.  This reminds us that positive thinking begins inside.  You may believe you're far from perfect, but don't fail to realize there are many great things about you as well.  As you identify and recognize them, other people will appreciate you as well.  Positive thinking can rub off. It's a reassuring light of hope.

Find the bright side

No matter what kind of condition or life circumstances you know and have known, a bright side exists. You can always train or untrain the mind to notice this.  Its a blessing to do so.

For instance, if it is raining outside, and this appears to spoil your plans, you can shift focus to be grateful for the nutrients this brings to the flowers and greenery. You can be grateful for the moisture that renews the Earth, that gives you water to drink, and enables you to do something you would not otherwise have done. You can see rain as opening the way to see the sun. Even an electric storm can be viewed as a form of relief for Nature and much more.

The same can be said for every person you ever know, every job you've ever had, every event that has ever unfolded in front of you. If you feel cheated or betrayed, you can find something positive about the same situation. You can focus what appears to be lacking or what insight, opportunity or wisdom you are gaining. What did you learn about yourself that you wouldn't have seen otherwise? It is valuable to step outside the judging mind.

If you feel you have reason to resign from your job, then you can choose to see that as the best possible thing that could happen, and feel excited about what is coming next. After all, to be your own boss or to find a different job more suitable to your skills would be marvelous!

Consider how an unforeseen injury that laid you up a few weeks enabled you to read the books you hadn't made time to read before. Perhaps you benefit from a reminder to relax and be kinder to yourself. Every event invites you to be more compassionate with yourself and others.  To recognize you have ability to see your life situation from another perspective is something that helps you, come what may.

Wherever you are, whatever you do, you can re-program your mind.  What will it take to convince yourself that you have blessings in your life? Start believing your relationships will be restored, that opportunities already exist for you and you choose to see them or not. As you start expecting good things to happen, then you reach a stage where this is all you see.  Know you pass your tests with flying colors. Recognize everything is preparing you for something else. You are being readied for conditions which are better for you than before. Sensing the bright side strengthens more than eyesight. It moves you from hope to trust.

Magical tools at our fingertips

If magic is a tool we can dream, learn and draw from, then we have the power to create a truly  magical life.  We each possess abilities that we seldom, if ever admit, discover and often never develop because of how we think and influence of the status quo.  Who says you can't do something?  You can accomplish anything you set your mind to do.

Consider why is it that "You've Got Talent" shows are suddenly becoming so popular in various nations. Why does an unassuming, shy guy who works in a mobile phone warehouse turn out to be a gifted opera singer for a UK Talent search? Why does a mousy pharmacist come out of the woodwork to win the Australian Idol contest as a talented singer with a unique falsetto?  Why do you sense 'unlikey' people discovering incredible abilities?  Contrast this with your idea of who is likely to be talented.  How would you know such a person to look at them?

How you nurture your own misconceptions about others reflects back on your misconceptions about yourself.  It is really magic that ordinary people reveal extraordinary abilities? Could it depend on ritual and practice as much as faith?  What about trust and self-confidence that experiences don't always promote before talent searches? Would you take the risk to unveil your hidden talent to the world?  It would be desirable to at least admit it to yourself.  People desire to believe they have talent.  Why must self-acceptance be legitimized by society?  We all benefit from self-reflection.

Positive thinking is an ability that encourages you to explore possible hidden talents.  What kind of labels or superstitions do you associate with your skills? Who caused you to feel that way?  Those things that enable you to connect with an intimate part of your being are signs.  What messages are they conveying?

You may be frightened by the prospect of success.  Yet, the truth is that you may be impressionable about negative things and find it hard to realize you can win at what you truly desire.  The first step is to realize you have talent.  Tap into it your way.  Magic is found in believing in yourself for real.  This goes beyond positive thinking itself.  Magic lies in the doing.  Connect with your core and feel the electric vibes.

You are what you believe

When you feel as though you're mistreated or overlooked, you have choices about how to view what has happened and how to feel inside. Depending on how you perceive how you are treated you determine if its urgent to act or whether it is more prudent to bide your time.

I know a guy who was struggling to ascend the corporate ladder. He felt that he met obstacles every step of the way. Although he was known to do more than was expected, he was criticized by superiors for not achieving enough. Although he was conscientious and significantly increased his sales, he was repeatedly snubbed by co-workers who nabbed some of his clients. Although he was diligent and submitted reports on-time, computers would crash and digest precious documents before his big presentations. Still, he kept a cool head, remained open to learning, and told himself all his hard work would pay off. He didn't harbor pain or negative feelings. He decided every experience was meant to reveal useful things.

Time passed, some of his dishonest peers were promoted to the next level but he wasn't. Still, he refused to be discouraged. He simply told himself that he was meant for something more suitable and had to be patient. Rather than dwell on what he wasn't doing, he focused on what he was doing, only better than before. He decided reasons exist for everything and if he wasn't ready to understand why he was where he was, then he wouldn't have opportunities to go anywhere else. It made sense. He accepted he had more learning to do and focused on that.

When directors decided to organize a huge company expansion, they were prepared to take calculated risks.  He was approached personally to head a brand new division. Directors were taking a leap of faith with their business projections, but they also had faith this was an appropriate role for their promoted employee.  He had waited and opportunity knocked.  The responsibility he was given rewarded the energy and attention he had devoted to previous posts.

Rather than rest on his laurels, he chose to give regular motivational talks on the side.  He reasoned that being open to learning what we do wrong is actually an opportunity to get better. He chose to believe it’s a blessing to be told what we're not meant to do, because that brings us that much closer to discovering what we are.  He learned that wasting energy complaining about what you're not is actually distracting you from getting-to-know who you are.  Fulfillment is innate. Think positively and how you view your life changes.  After all, you are what you believe.
