Train your attention

Mindfulness is training your attention to be awake and aware of what goes on inside and outside yourself.  It is a sharpening of the senses.  Notice what you are creating and adding to your experiences.  Notice also what ideas you cling to and also those attachments you are willing to let go. Notice the feelings that arise and dissipate as you decide nothing matters.

What do you sense about your own observation and evolving behaviour in this moment? How does your life perspective (the nature of seeing) shift as you only speak to people who are truly present? What do you see in common with people you encounter and those you don't?

"If you first fortify yourself with the true knowledge of the Universal Self, and then live in the midst of wealth and worldliness, surely they will in no way affect you." -Ramakrishna

Celebrate every dream

Notice how you hear, see and know things on a deep level that nothing can actually shake. You view this as intuition, gut feeling, inner knowing or something else. Why shake it off?

Let's say everything you encounter is a layer of a dream, itself a reflection of the divine that takes form to invite you to respond. Its like a cosmic holodeck. You design the program and play the virtual game. Imagine that each person, place or thing you encounter is a different version of you inviting you to see something more clearly or to learn about yourself. All you notice in the external world is what you do not yet consciously know yourself to be.  You are not only what you are becoming, but what you already are, like a tribe of many colours.

Notice whether you feel things out or think your way along. You have intelligence and insight to make conscious choices.  What happens when every moment feels the same to you?

“You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment.” -Henry David Thoreau

Beyond the blinding flash

Beyond the blinding flash of insight are stepping stones. Rather than assume one pivotal moment, event or milestone is it, you are invited to love openly, come what may. Trust in the universe, in whatever you are doing or not doing.  Trust in time so you don't dwell on it; trust in whatever is this great process that is working in you, making its own way to fulfillment, and get out of the way as much as you can.  You come to see what truly matters on your own, and find yourself by yourself.  Notice what captures your attention and seems significant only at different stages of your life.

In essence, you can only ultimately rely on yourself.  You can reach out for guidance during your journey and come to notice everything points back to your own inner knowing.   The quieter you become, the more you hear.  True freedom can’t be taken away because it reveals itself as ever-present upon awakening. One knows that in whatever situation unfolds, inner life is always free.

"Just think of the trees: they let the bords perch and fly, with no intention to call them when they come and no longing for their return when they fly away.  If people's hearts can be like the trees, they will not be off The Way." - Langya

The noblest work

The mental dream prompts you to focus on external drama, imbalance or confusion. As you step back and observe your life, you lose interest in deciphering thoughts, emotions and resistance.  Consciousness flows all around you.  As you let go of what no longer serves you, you lose yourself in stillness.  Feelings of joy arise spontaneously.  The radiance of perfect life stands out to you.

To release yourself from the drama is to sense you float above it.  What does it feel like to taste life in ways you cannot recall doing before? As you become aware of how you feel in all interactions you have with the external world, you can surrender into a heavenly place where soul abides in mutual respect with all life.  As you let go of everything you are taught to think is important, a nurturing feeling and light fill you completely.  Multiple dimensions of reality reveal themselves to you.  Each of them draws attention to timeless blessings.  Unconditional love is expressing itself through you.  Awakening opens doorways to infinity.  Expansion does not end.  There is no final destination.

"The stages of the Noble Path are: Right View, Right Thought, Right Speech, Right Behavior, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness and Right Concentration." - Buddha

"The noblest work is to cultivate the soul." - Sadhu Vaswani

You are right

Whatever you say or do not, you are right.  Express whole-heartedly that love is the answer and be that.  Then, this is all you experience. If you experience something other than your dream, you know precisely why and you are right. Your energy vibration invites it all for reasons that are growing more conscious.  Sense the lesson, accept you know. Embrace it.

In other words, unless your full attention is focused in this moment, and you find a blessing in whatever is happening, what your heart and soul are telling you is not yet registering at a conscious level.  Imagine digesting the revelation that you only ever get precisely what you ask for.  Tired of perceived challenges? Stop seeing them. You only make right choices in the right places with the right intentions.

"There is no inferiority or depravity about the man God made. The only inferiority in us is what we put into ourselves. What God made is perfect. We think ourselves into smallness, into inferiority by thinking downward. We ought to think upward... Right thinking and right living make a right life." - Orison Swett Marden, The Miracle of Right Thought
