Why feel invisible or powerless?

As the story goes, a stone buddha statue is revered by many people.  They approach it by ascending mountain using a series of stone steps. One evening, after the people are gone, the steps express a few words with this statue;

"It is not fair!," cried the steps. "We are carved out of stone from the same mountain and yet people flock to walk all over us and only ever bow down to you.  How can this be possible?"

The buddha statue listened in silence.  When the was ready, he replied:

"You, as steps, were formed by a few cuts of a knife. I emerged from that same stone yet, only after more than ten thousand cuts."

As a reminder, we influence each other and all of life with our intention.  We can transform our experiences from fear to love or not.  The rising sun offers new conditions.  The more one thinks of oneself as invisible and powerless, the more one can grow aware of the inner judge, why we blame or envy and how every emotion brings consequences.  One can exert creative power responsibly or irresponsibly.

Awaken to your game of life

If Krishna, Buddha, Jesus, Mohammed, Nanak and Zoroaster, and peers of their level, were seated around a table discussing consciousness, you might wonder what matters they would discuss or if everything would be telepathic.  You might also wonder if they play a game of cards, which face images would the cards reveal? Would personality transcend? If all is revealed, then which faces remain?

Their followers formed religions which highlight difference, control and power struggles.  You might evolve to feel such practices deviate from the original tenets that promote wisdom and humility.  Such traits raise conscious awareness beyond superficial levels of dreams.

Its said spirituality is based on three common ideas agreed on by all sages:

1) A sense of a unifying, supreme, absolute Source

2) Humankind's mortal nature and unlimited energy as a radiation from the Source

3) The possibility of learning spiritual secrets by deconditioning and remembering what you forgot at birth.

Regardless of whether you consciously connect with some God  from within or from outside the human spirit, your consciousness has the potential to expand alongside your evolutionary process.  You may experience biological turning points or changes in psychic energy.  You always have opportunities for different levels of awakening.  What sorts of cards do you hold in your spiritual hand? Which ones will you lay down? Which cards, if any, reveal the true self and decode the ultimate dream?

The Big Truth

Whether or not your realize it, the truth follows you around wherever you go.  The big picture is revealing itself.  Clues are always smack dab, right in front of you.  Clues to what you do not need in your life are also right in front of you.  So, what do you choose to notice and how do you act? Notice how your own selective awareness is serving you.

Ask yourself if you serve other people before yourself.  If your focus is your own personal agenda, if you only help people when you see how this can contribute to your own bigger plans, then you are sacrificing the potential of more meaningful relationships.

If you desire to perceive yourself in a new way, this doesn't require you to be completely selfless. When you think of yourself, you would benefit from thinking of yourself in the context of a bigger picture.  Evolve to see what is best for others is also what is best for you.  As you grow to feel more connected to other people, distinctions fall away.

The soul is like an open sense.  It intuits all choices without judgment.  The mind judges what is best for whom and why. Aligning the mind with soul allows you to feel your way into states that expand beyond self.  The big truth is beyond ego and self-interest.

Rather than see yourself as different, better, more competitive, more strategic or superior, you shift to see what you have in common with others until the sense of other fades. You feel more inter-connected. As you assist and are kind to others, you have no ulterior motive. You act for action's sake. The big truth emerging is oneness.

"Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth." - Buddha
