Unleash the real you!

Something within you is holding you back from sharing all that you are. Whatever you are doing with your life at this moment is not all you exist to do. Yet, you are also missing lessons available to you now. You may be unaware of why this is. Consider these questions to help you unleash the real you;

1) What am I waiting for? As you become progressively more honest, it is apparent that you are only ever waiting for yourself to open the gates to freedom.  Waiting is a choice. To realize time itself is an illusion you reinforce, is the key to transcend it. No time like the present.  Its all there truly is.

2) Why is it taking so long? Impatience is a smokescreen for fear. When you truly wish to do things, you find a way.  When fear controls you, the mind echos excuses to keep you paralyzed as you are. Change requires as long as you decide.

3) How do I know if I make a mistake? Experience is is just experience.  When you do not exert effort, you do not choose to stretch and grow. A sense of regret or error is a value judgment. Emotions are misplaced.  They teach you how you distract yourself or postpone greater self-acceptance.

4) Which road is the best one?  Every road has equal value.  You are no better or worse than anyone else.  No choice results in you being more or less beautiful, more or less capable. You always hold capacity to be just as you are where you are.

5) Where will I go first?  The destination is less important than a willingness to embark on a journey.  You need no help to connect with the courage and confidence you have inside.  You make decisions based on how comfortable you feel with the lessons you are learning.  You leave key decisions up the body and spirit which are aligning all the time.

4 Ways to reactivate your true self

As children grow up, they are often conditioned to stop listening to their bodies and to move away from what strengthens their heart and soul. It happens in ways you do not initially notice. Some people hesitate to believe or, never connect how their feelings influence their life choices.

At some point, part of you is aware you wish to reactivate your true self. What does this require? Does part of you say to stop something you have outgrown or start fresh? Maybe a job beckons or new training. Maybe relationships call for attention. You may shirk responsibility for financial, biological, spiritual or other reasons. Part of you realizes what you put off. As you raise awareness, details of the what and why resurface;

1) Absorb the truth in your words. You may not be used to speaking with confidence and dignity you would like to feel.  As you listen closer to your word choices, what do they tell you about youf? Are you happy where you are? If not, what next? Words are powerful indicators about balance and direction.

2) Note what is human and universal. Those situations that cause you to feel awkward, embarassed or ashamed are frequently what connects you to everyone. Each experience invites you to find humor, lightness and  delight in apparent discomfort. What bothers you is the key to releasing tension.

3) Refuse to hide. The nature of what you hide from others and repress from conscious awareness is a gauge for feelings that merit attention.  For some people, it is unacknowledged grief.  For others, it is suppressed passion or creative freedom. The decision to open up to self is a step toward being more honest with others. Revisit what you deem appropriate now.

4) Reframe challenges. What you assume will be painful, risky, tiring or not worth it, could all be your own misplaced assumptions.  How do you validate or legitimize your experience? Some people complain about adveristy to get attention, and this makes their effort worthwhile.  Other people are content in the silence of their own inner knowing that certain choices feel right.  Deeper meaning always exists.

Elizabeth Gilbert & 3 points about genius

Elizabeth Gilbert wrote, Eat Pray Love, about a year she spent travelling the world after a difficult divorce. She has written other books, but this one is particuarly engaging for its humor, trans-cultural flavor, and spiritual healing journey.

Regardless of gender or life condition, something about her journey resonates with every reader. It may be something you experienced in common, lost, abandoned or left behind during a stage of your life. It may be a reaction, a passing fancy or, a dream to venture where you had feared to tread. It all brings you back to your core self. Consider three points about genius;

1) Genius is not rare. Most people speak of genius as a prodigy, in terms of things they are not. They use it as a tool for alienation rather than the ket to reconnect to the deepest spirit. Recognizing your own genius is a normal state of mind blocked by a fundamental defect: lack of insight into yourself.

2) Genius is a second insight. The prospect of radical transformation from the inside brings thoughts of revelation, salvation, escape from suffering, solace, peace. To rediscover this is part of a process of liberation from what you thought you knew where you were. You turn to face your demons.

3) Genius is awareness. To discern dysfunction and reactions within is part of a core healing process. New levels of awareness bring new levels of consciousness and grasp of things as they truly are. Some people trigger revelations during long and perilous geographical journeys. Other people realize how they live, how they manifest or perpetuate certain conditions and mindsets, without ever moving. No matter where you think you go, your mind creates illusion. Becoming aware how it functions brings you degrees of sanity.
