10 Tips to Contact Higher Self

People ask how to contact their higher Self. Some call this spirit guide or divine connection. Here are 10 tips:

1. Belief & Trust

It is imperative to BELIEVE that you have a Higher Self to tune in! Then TRUST and KNOW that this communication is strengthening as you focus diligently on inner growth. Without belief and trust, it is hard to align with your vision, even on the physical level. For inner growth, these two points are key. So set a GOAL to contact the Higher Self, review your intention, and maintain your purpose with determination for success.

2. Transform Your World View

We are brought up with a primarily materialistic world view that neglects the role of Spirit. To establish close contact with spiritual realms, we must focus our whole being – conscious and subconscious – congruent with our vision. In any major activity/goal, you have to establish the rules of the game and the way it is played. Contacting your Higher Self is the same. Therefore, seek out writings and teachers that expand your understanding of the universe as fundamentally being a realm of Consciousness.

3. Solitude

Make regular time for yourself in solitude. A quiet place is preferable. Just sit quietly with no expectations. Do NOTHING. This may feel very uncomfortable and strange in the beginning. Persist. You give time and space for the inner voice to make itself heard. It will do so either during that quiet time, or else during the events of the day. A synchronistic event will occur; someone will tell you exactly what you need to hear; you will get a sudden flash of insight. Genius emerges in solitude as one tunes into silence. We can all tune into.

4. Meditation

In meditation, you work to discipline your mind and silence the internal chatter that constantly fill it. You create a pure vessel for the Higher Self to fill. Following your breath is an excellent meditation discipline, as is concentrating upon a candle flame. Or visualize a golden ball of light in your Solar Plexus that fills your whole body with energy and healing. There are many practices that you can study and use.

5. Journal

Record your feelings, emotions, dreams and insights every day in a journal. This will help you to come into closer contact with your inner intuitive depths. You can ask the Higher Self questions here, and then later on record whatever insights/answers you receive. If you do this regularly with belief and expectation, you WILL receive the answers you need.

6. Converse with Higher Self

Conduct a regular inner dialogue with your Higher Self. For the next month,  commune throughout the day. Say to your Higher Self, “I know you are here and I want to get to know you better. Please begin to speak to me and guide my life” Don’t worry if this dialogue is entirely one-way intiially. Remember that you have been out of touch for ages. It takes a while to get into the flow Persist with this inner dialogue as if talking to a friend – chatting, asking questions, sharing your hopes – and begin to listen for answers. They will come.

7. Life Lessons

Know that all life events, situations and encounters arise to teach you exactly what woil need to know right now. Approach life as if the whole of creation is conspiring to do you good! Whenever something happens in your life, for good or ill, ask yourself what the lesson is for you. Even unpleasant people/situations have been deliberately placed there as a challenge to help you grow. As you begin to view life as a drama in which you play the starring role, the role of the Higher Self will become increasingly evident in your life. Record your findings in your journal.

8. Dreams

Be open and intend that your Higher Self to chats with you during dreams. Before going to sleep, do some stretching and bending to relax your body. Ask your Higher Self a question and expect (prepare for0 an answer. When you wake up, recall whatever you can of your dream and write it down in your journal. If you are not used to remembering dreams, this will take time and persistence. However, with patience, you will begin to recall your dreams AND receive answers from your Higher Self.

9. Mindfulness

Focus upon living more and more in the present, on the NOW. When you are eating, be aware that you are eating. When you walk, know that you are walking. The only real moment is now – the past is gone forever and the future has yet to be. Therefore, work to clear your mind of concerns, illusions and extrapolations. Clear the mental clutter from the mind and create space for the Higher Self to fill.

10. Patience

Remember, you may have spent your entire life out of touch with Source. Therefore, it takes time to learn how to re- establish contact. Anything worth doing takes time and practice. Be vigilant and practise these steps every day and you will receive the answers you need. Remember: The Higher Self WANTS to be in contact. In fact, to even speak of it as someone apart from you is contradictory. The Higher Self IS you! The real you. So get in touch with YOU!

Consciousness is the secret

Notice the nature of the individual spiritual journey is determined by our level of consciousness, not by anything external. Guides may arise at different stages, but they are simply different versions of you. The mental or intellectual part of us is taught to seek a path that is as easy, as quick and as simple as possible. Deeper Being recognizes love and devotion are dimensions of intelligence. Being devoid of or forgetting self, this is devotion. Impatience or sense of time do not come into it. You lose yourself in the flow of what which nourishes joy, aliveness. Focusing in this field shifts vibrations and draws attention to cosmic doorways. Allowing trust and surrender to take the helm lights for all Paths and directions.

7 Things you can do during dream yoga

As you explore astral dreaming, you may decide to experiment with dream yoga. If you hesitate, then you may wonder whether this is for you or, whether you do it already. On your journey to the next level, you have nothing to fear but fear itself.

Tibetans describe dream yoga as the original or basic state of lucid dreaming. They are historic masters at awakening their consciousness during dreams. Astral projecting is when you become aware of an out-of-body experience (OBEs). As you gain more conscious control of OBEs, you can become lucid.

Many methods exist to discipline the mind, deliberately induce OBEs and lucidity. As you contemplate whether this experience would appeal, or select among ones to share as comments, consider five things you can learn to do during dream yoga;

1) Manifest physical things-Based on your perception, you create external, objective physical things, and the internal, subjective physical things. Sights, sounds, smells, tastes and sensations are the external or objective physical things. The five base senses are the subjective of internal physical things.

2) Discriminate among feelings& shift recognition. You choose to experience positive, negative or indifferent energy. Then, you shift to identify particular things. This mental recognition exercise moves from unconscious to conscious. You bring the process to the surface and become observer.

3) Explore different planes. You visualize a particular place in all its detail and go there, whether you have heard of it and visited there before or whether your imagination conjured an image from somewhere.  Your mind sharpens the texture.

4) Dialogue with enlightened beings- You interact with beings of higher awareness on dream planes and different levels of awareness.  You  only release what you learn into conscious awareness when these beings sense you are ready.

5) Meet with other sentient beings- When you mobilize your mind, you can actually intend to meet other sentient beings in designated places. That is, while your physcial body is at rest, your astral body can be directed elsewhere. Its also possible to explore other dimensions, realms, and bodies and log them all.

6) Unpack your paradoxes.  You evolve to realize all conditioned ideas in waking life are lying to and about the awareness that knows them.  You await your own soul-level process of conscious awakening, trigger a domino effect and watch.  Then move beyond the watcher.

7) Dissolve or transcend the dream states. As you detach consciously from the physical body (recognize you are lucid) and detach from the dreaming mind (become observer to your dream within dream), then you move to observe the purest form of conscious awareness.  This is that level where you become aware of an emptiness and become aware of the nature and dimensions of the reality behind everything. Opportunities exist to move through many levels of dream states.
