Reassure yourself

Sometimes, if stress and discomfort build, you may start to feel frustrated or even overwhelmed.  The mind may have you believe you are not in the right place, not doing the right thing.  Many people ask me how to stop overthinking.  When the inner judge captures your attention, questions that arise can trigger emotions at a furious pace. Use mental strategies or learn  to do nothing.  Notice what happens as you retrain the mind and decide everything is always going well.

Rest assured, you are always on the right track.  Everything you think and feel is always conveying messages about what is helping you or hindering you be true to yourself.  Every thought and choice is guiding you.  So when teach question arises, "do I or don't I listen?"  Sharpening your listening skills is a way to be more attentive to what matters to your soul. Listening to your vibes is always in your interest.  Do what you can to sharpen the senses.

"Confidence comes not from always being right but from not fearing to be wrong."

Is multi-tasking the solution?

People continue to ask me about the value of multi-tasking.  How often do you tell yourself that you are doing a  lot yet, feel you are getting virtually nothing done?  Feel like you are struggling unnecessarily or going nowhere fast? That's because you are.  See the point?

In essence, experience is the best teacher.  You offer yourself wisdom every moment but have selective awareness based on judging what is useful. Stop judging and then see what happens.

As you begin to slow down, you see clearer.  Be your Dream.  Realize it is not just noticing you do the things you do that's important. It's also being conscious of them, seeing you attribute or overlook value in everything.  Only you can uncover the underlying purpose behind your own apparent madness.  Delve deeper.  Nothing is purposeless.  Every behaviour speaks through you.

"Multi-tasking arises out of distraction itself." - Marilyn vos Savant

All you need is revealed

Brace yourself: what you need is already accessible.   A trail of synchronicities points to this.  You cannot gain or lose what matters but you can change your perception or focus of attention.   Notice what happens as you step back and simply observe what is unfolding without judging.  Notice how resistance to change subsides. Do you worry or exist is a state knowing all is well?

As you begin to recognize the 'quest' within the question has different purposes and lessons, the game of life rises to a whole new level.  You can move through beliefs and perceived problems,  brainstorm possible causes, create affirmations, and new patterns.  Feel the roadmap to peace.

In essence, this tells you awakening is not the same for everyone.  What you think you want at different stages of life evolves.  Underneath every desire and quest, who you are is constant.  What stands out as a current priority is impermanent.  Each experience you choose serves you and also reveals what is permanent.  Everything is here but you may forget how to see.  Just ask.

"Act with a spirit of detachment, being equal to success and failure.  Such evenness of mind is called yoga."  -Bhagavad Gita

Be content in the changing world

As you gaze out into the world, change is everywhere.  You are invited to change and evolve based on what other people are doing. Come what may, are you always able to take change in stride and view it as an adventure?  If not, then some thought or belief is getting in the way.

Know raising awareness of how you think and feel is an invitation to laugh at yourself and let go of what has already served its purpose.  Every moment is a new beginning beckoning. Transform your perception and transform your life.  Notice the exhileration and newness that refreshes and revitalizes. Allow the heart to clarify the nature of the experience that focuses your attention. How is it an invitation to love thyself, your conditions and everything around you all the more?

"All the art of living lies in the fine mingling of letting go and holding on." -Havelock Ellis

Life turns around quickly

Amazing things unfold in life.  Notice what happens as you keep all options open and allow yourself to notice what is going right.  As you do the best you can where you are, you begin to realize, there is no such thing as purposelessness.  Here and now is where your future is being made.  Watch what happens as you make use of what you know to help others with kindness and good intentions.  Doors are already opening in directions that you could not possibly imagine.

Notice true freedom exists outside your comfort zone.  This is not a state of mind but a state of being.  Be aware of your habits and expectations.  Let them go. If ever you hear yourself using the words "wrong" or "mistake," catch yourself.  In truth, nothing is ever wrong with you.  All experience is just that.  You may simply not allow yourself to see it. This revelation is some kind of wonderful.  Life turns around quickly as you remove the clouds blocking the silver lining.

"Too many people miss the silver lining because they are expecting gold." -Maurice Setter
