Interview with Randolph Rogers

In early July 2011, Steven L. Hairfield and I interviewed Randolph Rogers on our Aware Talk Radio show.

Ever sense that you encounter others in your life to reflect back some deeper insight that you are already conveying to and through yourself? What if the nature of your own openness determines what the universe reveals?

The enthusiastic response to the show means we are going to have Randy back as a guest again. The intriguing nature of Randy’s book, The Key of Life: A Metaphysical Investigation inspires me to interview him here. I offer the exchange for your consideration.  Notice feelings or timeless inner knowing is triggered inside of you.

Many people switch careers and even have “life-changing” experiences, yet all do not write books. Why share this personal detective story, and why now?

My story begins with an old friend from grade school, Kathy Lynch, reaching out to contact me from beyond this physical plane of existence. As I began a search to find what had become of Kathy it became apparent that I had to document everything.  This came partially from my previous 20 years as a photojournalist, having to keep notes and records of everything, and was also heavily driven by Kathy asking me not to forget her and to tell all her friends what had happened with her.  I knew there was no better way to remember Kathy than to write a book telling her story.

It would help readers who are unfamiliar with your life experience if you would describe the turning point that triggered your awakening (shifted your focus of attention from the physical world to non-physical states of being).

The real turning point in my life came on the evening of July 5th, 1996 when Kathy reached out to me in my dreams and then in the out-of-body experience (OBE) that followed immediately after I returned to my bed.  I knew after that evening, things were never going to be the same with me again.  I brought my secret search for her out into the open and from there it became a full on investigation.  The events that occurred that evening opened my eyes to an entirely new way of looking at life and especially shed any fears I may have had of dying.  Feeling her spirit with my that night was something that I'll never forget.

People who are sceptical about OBEs do not recognize the nature of their own fear and self-doubt. What insight about moving from ‘believing to knowing’ could you share to empower others to be open to expand their perspective?

Belief is a word I never like to use. The word places you in the psychological state of holding a proposition or premise to be true without the knowledge that it is true. Growing up in a Catholic family, I am all too aware of how the church used that word to bend your thoughts into their way of thinking. The nuns used that word day in and day out to imbed a myriad of church doctrines, none of which had the slightest proof of truth behind it. In the earliest days the church condemned Galileo for promoting the idea of the Earth revolving around the Sun.  His knowledge was in direct opposition to their belief.  You see from that example what will always win out.

I love Galileo and the nature of love and fear he invites each of us to recognize within.  One of his timeless quotes is: "All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them."  This seems to ask each person to feel his way to the truth, whatever that means. Is that your point?

My point is that working as a journalist, I put things into two categories, it was either the truth or not the truth.  I had no use for a belief system. Following a belief was a dangerous proposition. If you always search for the truth you will never be disappointed. The place to begin that search is in the details of your own life.

Some people also say, 'expect the unexpected and never be disappointed.' The dreaming of the world is seen as meaningful and meaningless. How do you sense the truth in different layers of dreams?

The dream world holds many truths within it.  The biggest problem we have is sorting through the tangled images upon awakening [from night dreams].

What do you notice about the evolution of your dreams, in other words, how you sense what is valuable and real [in this moment]?

During my own journey, I found that keeping a good dream journal is imperative. It helps to log important events so a clear pattern can be interpreted and recognized quicker.  If you are awakened in the middle of a dream that helps to bring back real information that will prove more accurate than sorting through a mix of events that combine images from past waking moments.  In the end it is hard to tell which elements are important but I've found that the truth will easily reveal itself when you document everything.

Many people can appreciate conditioning limits their views on situations and prevents them from seeing clearly. Stepping back and writing certainly invite deeper recognition of symbolism behind thoughts and feelings.  This said, what, in your view, is the best way to honour the deceased?

I feel the best way to honor those who have passed is by celebrating their life and keeping their memories alive in stories about them. I know with my own father and mother now on the other side, I find myself always speaking to my son about my life with them. He was with me during my own mother's last days in hospice and has a good understanding that it was not her end but merely her transition onto another plane of existence. She spent all that time with us sharing stories about her life as a young girl and all the fun she had experiencing it.

Your current focus of guiding people through and teaching about past life regression hypnosis reveals a particular perspective on the immortal soul. How would you suggest a person who fears death explore his beliefs and see his resistance for what it is?

I know that in my own experiences of helping people to view their own past lives and then connect with their spirit guide in higher self, they all come away with a more complete understanding of who they really are, not the person they see in the mirror every morning, but the true spirit that is driving that character.  Understanding that imbeds you with the knowledge, hence the truth, that we never die. We are indestructible spirits that live on forever.

Some people sense experiences unfold with outcomes in different worlds or dimensions.  How is your understanding/ perception of time and space shifting?

My knowledge of time and space is only perceived on this dimension.  Outside of here there is no time or space.  All things exist at once beyond this plane of existence.  There are many mornings that I wake up here knowing that somewhere else, on another time-line, I'm living a different life.  I feel as though knowledge of elements of that life have come back with me into this existence.  I can never seem to grab onto them for very long but they are there none the less and I find myself having quick glimpses of them occasionally as I move through my waking hours.  We've created these time-lines to give dimension to our being.  Our spirit grows as a result of moving along the time-line and experiencing all the karmic challenges we bring into our lives.  Upon our return to the other side, our universal spirit has grown as well.  Some may call it God, Deva, Allah or a host of other names, but who they are really talking about is the combined spirit of us all.

What advice would you offer to help people be more aware or discerning of synchronicities in their own lives?

There are a lot of things you can do to help you recognize the synchronicities in your life.  To begin with, give full attention to all conversations and positions you find yourself in everyday.  This means paying attention to the stranger who talks to you in the grocery line. Chances are there is a message being sent in the simplest of situations.  It helped that my background included 20 years in the news business.  I was use to paying attention to the smallest of details and then retaining that information. This is one trait that is helpful in recognizing the synchronicities in your life. Again, keeping a journal or diary also helps when the synchronicities span several days or weeks.

To realize we each give all the meaning to whatever we experience can be quite an eye-opener.  It invites awakening to responsibility and accountability. How does it feel to recognize the nature of this choose-your-own adventure?

A lot of people may say they would never choose the life they are living. I know for a fact that you not only choose it but write the script you are going to follow.  Knowing this gives me a solid feeling of confidence as I move along my path in this life.  You know that any challenges in front of you are obstacles you created and you can overcome as you strive to achieve the experiences your soul needs to grow. The greatest gift this life experience offers each of us is recognizing the connection we have to each other.

You might say then, people are increasingly allowing themselves to talk less and feel more.  They begin to see messages in their language and discomfort. Why would you say emotions guide people to recall their true state of being?

Using your emotions to guide you is key in helping you recognize who you are.  On the other side everything is driven by one emotion, love.  When we open our hearts on this plane of existence, we are opening a direct communication link to the other side.  All of us have the ability to do this but so many people close it down or never open it to begin with.  It's as simple as following your inner thoughts, that first thought of visiting a friend or calling someone, before your conscious mind shuts down the idea to keep you on track with that day's schedule.  Learn to live your life more in the moment and not plan out every detail with no room for spontaneity. If you do that, you will gradually discover the essence of the spirit within.

What does “seeing” mean to you and how is your sense of reality changing?

Seeing to me is an illusion.  I've come to know that everything around me, including my own body, is an illusion being created by me and all the other souls on this journey.  To go a step further, we've created a perfect movie set to play out each of our own life stories as they mesh seamlessly with each other. The power required to do this is beyond anything you can imagine while you're on the set.  I find myself constantly marveling at the events blending effortlessly together with a precision that defies all attempts to understand it.  It leaves me with one thought constantly on my mind, the only thing that is real is the spirit within me.

Amidst all that is available, what are you determined to be or experience?

I'm determined to complete the contract I've made before incarnating into this life.  I know that one of the reasons I'm here is to keep track of events along this timeline.  I've been a photographer since I was 10 years old and I always have a camera with me.  Being here at this time and place is the most exciting assignment you could possibly receive. It is a great time of challenge and change that will move us onto a higher vibrational plane of existence.  As we move closer to December 21, 2012 we will experience not the end of the world but the beginning of a new one.

People can indeed be reassured that they are never upset for the reasons they think. As people begin to accept more is going on than the mind can fathom, then thoughts are suddenly less relevant. Please share with our readers the essence of you would like them to take away.  Let them know where they can find more about you and your current endeavours.

My favorite story is one that was told by Krishnamurti.  I reference it in my book and here it is:

One day the devil and his friend were walking down the road when they saw a man up ahead of them stop, bend over and pick something up from the roadway. He examined it a moment then put it into his pocket.
The friend said to the devil "What was that man putting into his pocket?"
The devil replied "It was a piece of the truth."
"Well that's not good for you then," the friend replied.
"Oh not at all," said the devil.  "I'm going to help him organize it."
This story speaks volumes as to the reason we must all search for our own truth.
The name of my book is The Key of Life; A Metaphysical Investigation. It's a great blueprint for examining the details in your own life. All the names, dates, times, places and events in it are true.  But don't believe me, go out and discover the "Key" within you.  All you have to do find it is follow the truth.

You can read about my book and purchase it at or randolphrogers.com  It's also available online through Amazon or Barnes and Noble.  Also connect up with me under Randy Rogers on Facebook and get the latest updates off my Key of Life fan page. I do conduct past life regression workshops and private sessions using hypnosis. These can be done both over the phone and in person in Los Angeles.

Thank you, Randy. We greatly appreciate the reflections you offer readers who visit Dreambuilders Australia. Your insight touches on the nature of dreams, immortality, awakening, spiritual essence, inner knowing and indescribable experiences that resonate in ways many people cannot explain.

Love how you invite people to connect with the sleuth within, to feel more comforable with who they are, to be more open to transitions in career and perspective, as well as to courageously face those fears that block the truth from revealing itself with unquestionable clarity. As you imply, you know what feels right. Allowing intuition be your guide shifts everything.  What resonates in a heartfelt truth speaks for itself. Life reveals it is wise to trust the heart.

William Buhlman Interview & OBEs

William Buhlman is viewed as one of the most experienced in out-of-body (OBE) travellers in America today.  His books and workshops empower people to awaken to their untapped inner power to travel through dreams and pure thought.  You might see him at 'cutting-edge' of consciousness exploration. He is a visionary based at the Monroe Institute.

William Buhlman is the author of the best selling books: Adventures Beyond the Body, The Secret of the Soul and others. He is one of America’s leading experts on the subject of out-of-body experiences (OBEs). William is a certified hypnotherapist and offers workshops and lectures exploring the profound nature of OBEs and the benefits of accelerated personal development.

As it happens, he is going to be our guest on the Dreambuilders Australia Radio Show this Sun Dec 20, at 5h30pm EST (9h30am Melbourne).  He graciously answers some initial questions in this written interview to give visitors here a taste of what is to come on radio (or consult post show archives);

What prompts you to share insight and teach based about your own OBEs?

I know from personal experience that OBEs provide a profound spiritual experience that is completely life- changing.  In addition, our society lacks accurate information about this topic. Many people are dominated by fear-based beliefs that distort the truth of OBEs. I’m driven to provide valid facts for the millions of people that have spontaneous OBEs and are confused by the nature of the experience.

How do OBEs affect your values and physical life perspective? What do you gain?

OBEs provide new levels of self-knowledge and a far more expansive view of reality. Your entire perspective of yourself and your surrounding are altered because you now know that you are an immortal being. In Adventures beyond the Body, I detail 27 benefits that are experienced during OBEs.

Your books are certainly practical and fascinating. My own experience is developing in part due to your guidance. Readers may choose to view some benefits of astral travel available here.

Please explain why OBEs prompt humans to review outer space as the last unexplored frontier?

After one OBE you realize that the true frontier for human exploration is yourself and not some bunch of rocks in space.

How do OBEs empower people to overcome their own fear?

The very act of experiencing yourself as an immortal being existing completely independent from your physical body removes one of our greatest fears - the fear of death.

Why do time travel and teleportation relate to OBEs? What do they teach you about soul-splitting or split-consciousness?

Many people spontaneously experience their past lives during OBEs and obtain knowledge concerning their extensive past experiences and the many issues that they carry with them from life to life.  Many obtain insights into their personal issues and blocks.

If being fully aware implies being content where you are, how is this reconciled with the insatiable desire to expand and remember OBEs?

Who we are is a non physical being temporarily using a dense body what could be more normal then reuniting with our true self. We have the opportunity to experience our spiritual self during an OBE.

What is on the other side of matter? How about the dark side of the Moon? How do OBEs enable people to answer the unanswerable?

Through personal experience you realize that the universe is multidimensional and the physical world is only the epidermis layer of the complete universe

How do non-physical environments feel? How do you know they are real?

Only you can determine what is real. I have found that reality is relative to the vibration/density of the observer. You can always test the reality you experience.

What can people learn about OBEs that would help them heal physical disease and shift physical perception?

There are numerous accounts of people being healed during their OBE.

What advice would you offer anyone interested in growing more proficient with OBEs?

Dedicated daily practice of a proven OBE method is key to success. There are no shout cuts.

Please share any meaningful lessons or message to leave visitors leading up to the radio show.

The key to our evolution is expanding our personal spiritual experiences beyond the dense limits of matter. Self empowerment is about experiencing our true self beyond the narrow limits of ego.  Self initiated OBEs provide a powerful method to experience of true spiritual self.

Please join us on the radio show to share your questions in the chat room or phone in live. Consult William Buhlman's website for more information on his books, other tools and upcoming events. If you have any questions you would like William to answer, you can include them in the comments below.

Ben Abba & Interview on Immortality Part II

There is the idea that human beings are gradually becoming aware of their own true nature. On November 22, I interviewed Ben Abba on Blog Talk Radio about his new book and unique research into immortality. This is the second part of a written interview inspired by that archived BTR interview.

In your research, have you encountered female immortals? (beings in female bodies).

1 that is near 160 years of age.
Why only 1 woman so far ? I can only speculate at this time.

Do immortals as you know them consciously interconnect amongst themselves?

Another shocker ... no!

Telepathy is one skill that human beings are awakening to within on a wider scale.  Is this something immortals in your research use?

Not sure, I have evidence of some or partial telepathy; but not fully telepathic.

You say your work background is in the financial sector. What sort of impact does research into longevity and super-centernarians have on your view of your livelihood and your sense of true self?

A very positive one once I applied my knowledge of "health abundance"

Do you sense you (as a "modern" man) have more impact on the immortals you discover or, would you say they have more of an impact on your conscious awakening? Why?

I have always sensed that they have a greater impact on me and often worried how could i return the favor, in so way.  Now, as I discussed on todays show, I can see a possible way to have some positive impact on them as well.

When the student is ready the teacher will appear; or in our case, another enlighten being that will solve a problem that needs to be solved.

What advice can you offer a person who wants to live forever but does not wish to trade his soul for immortality?

Start each morning stating firmly, clearly, and from the heart:  "I am an immortal".  Reading my blogs & books, listening to my interviews will help even more.

As you sense and accept you live forever, how does this change your priorities? That is, what lifestyle and belief shifts do you notice inside?

As I stated in interview, my priorities to eat healthier, to reduce the stress in my life, to choose less stressful work has become a higher priority for me.

How do you see science fiction influences what human beings believe or disbelieve about lifespans?

In some cases, I believe science fiction has opened the doors and minds within all of us, to ideas that were "impossible" years ago.

More and more people feel internal energy shifts, and raising consciousness of abilities they did not  previously sense or accept. Other than evolving views about immortality, what shifts do you sense within?

More love, less fear, more confidence, less worries, more abundance, less lack, more energy, less fatigue in my life.

How does your research into immortality invite you to face and overcome different levels of fear and illusion?

Fear of death is a very controlling part of our lives; without that fear, we feel more free, and act even free-er.

What kinds of implications do you sense in society, based on the information on immortality you are uncovering?

Intense fear of the possibility that immortality is possible has been quite shocking.  The possibility of removing the fear of death is even more fearful to those who believe death, in particular a shorter lifespan benefits society.

Thanks again Ben.  I invite visitors interested in longevity on a whole new level to check out his website to learn more about his book, Secrets of an Immortal: Eyewitness Account of 2,800 of History, another new book he contributes to by Wayne Dyer, Wake up & Live the Life You Want; http://benabba.blogspot.com

Ben Abba & Interview on Immortality

I originally hear of Ben Abba though  media interviews and finding his unique book about immortality.  The subject is so thought-provoking that I contacted him about an interview here and another on my Blog talk radio show November 22.

The subject matter invites everyone to review the basis of conditioned beliefs and re-evaluate the nature of their own self-disclosure. Thanks for consenting to this interview and being willing to expand on your insight on the radio.

What is your view about physical immortality? Why focus on this subject?

Its possible. I believe ~25 "immortals", living among us today, already achieve it.

I focus on this to learn how to extend my own life, the quality of my own life, and to share what I have learn to others who desire to learn the same.

How does learning about this give a person a different awareness of reality?

Fear of death gives others control over us. Without fear of death, we become free to live our lives to their fullest.

Share any example(s) of your own personal verification of immortality.

A very small sample: walking barefoot on hot cools, surviving a car crash, remote viewing, Li Ching Yuen, locating and making contact with real "immortals", and observing many other death-defying miracles throughout my life.

How does an evolving perspective on physical existence accelerate your personal development?

Quite a bit. I now "know" and not just "believe" that we have free will and not just living a pre-determined life.

Consider the law of attraction. What sorts of individuals do you invite into your life based on your interest and research into immortality?

More enlightened beings or those who choose to evolve and grow in their lives.

What is your understanding of the human potential for spontaneous healing?

I am beginning to know that it is not only possible, but it is happening, in many different ways, all around us. What brings you to such conclusions? Personal observations and research into such done by others interests me.

How do you sense spirituality shifting inside you and others in light of what you perceive and learn of immortality?

My beliefs, my lifestyle has considerably changed already due to my research into physical immortality. Also, immortality is one of many forms of "infinite abundances". When I applied what I have learned in my research of "immortals" to other areas of my life (financial, business, relationships, etc.) i have noticed similar changes in my own life.

What is your insight into past lives? How does this relate to your insight into immortality and longevity?

I am well aware of the scientific evidence proving the belief of reincarnation and I have researched my own previous lives, with enough evidence to "know" I personally have reincarnated. Good question. I believe it helped me accept the findings of my research into immortals, immortality, and longevity.

Why do human beings resist changing views on immortality?

Fear seems to be the answer. Fear that their current beliefs may not be correct. Fear that others could have what they may not have. Fear that they are not "worthy" enough to receive what they truly desire in their own lives.

Do you sense a connection between increased self-respect, self-responsibility and longevity?

Definitely! (I can build on this later.)

Are you aware of National Geo studies on centenarians? A recent one was published in 2005.

YES! I have had a copy of the January 1973 of NG for years!

We are grateful you share perspectives on this wondrous subject. This is part I of the interview.  A second part will be published as a separate entry.

I invite you to listen to my archived radio show where we expand on this subject and Ben's writing.  Check out Ben's blog for further information on his work: http://benabba.blogspot.com/

Bernie Krausse Interview

I connect with Bernie through his blogs and we also share in stages of his Soul prilgrimage and profound awakening. Our parallel experiences teach us that people often forget they are not giving up anything, but slowly beginning to expand and exist more fully. I engage Bernie in this dialogue after he has hiked nearly five months in the wilderness.

What prompted you to embark on such a pilgrimage?

The Journey of Life and Pilgrimage are ongoing.   All trails lead to One place. A pilgrimage is traveling to a certain point or destination in the physical world where a sense of Holiness can be obtained.  However, if one embarks on a pilgrimage to get somewhere, and if they have truly arrived, they will become intimate with the knowledge each step of the Journey is the Shrine. One feels complete in the Moment if One Lets go of want and is available to that which they can receive and sense in the Now.  What one seeks is always there, but we are blinded by our preconceptions and the barriers and fears we place in our mind.  Belief systems cloud our vision and keep us from becoming One with Nature and our surroundings.

Share your original expectations about your trip and how you feel now.

On a more familiar level, my intention was to hike the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail from the Mexican Border to the Canadian Border. This span of 2,650 miles takes one on a quest to Rediscover the Chaparral Country, the Desert, The High Sierras, The densely wooded forests, and the Volcano littered Range of the Cascade Mountains.  The route took over four & a half months, travels from south to north through the states of California, Oregon, and Washington.  It is an exposure to extremes;  Hot vs. Cold, High vs. Low, and Open Views vs. Heavy Vegetation.

The sensations one experiences are seemingly endless.  There are flowers to enjoy every day.  Beauty abounds.  It is a journey of self-discovery.  And how one sees self is determined by what enters the mind. I expected to engage in the Flow on a more fluent level.  I expected to walk with grace.  I expected to dissolve any issues or fears that I would encounter along the way.  I wanted to become more aware of how I was a receiver and a transmitter in relationship to my surrounding world.  Finally, I wanted to show my partner that she too can learn to walk with stillness and a sense of ease.  Everything is only as Easy as we allow it to be. Therefore, by finding Grace through Walking in Stillness, I presently feel a greater sense of peace.

How do you view worlds around you before, during, and after this experience?

It must be said hiking or walking are not new to me.  I have approximately 12,500 long distance trail miles under my feet. It would probably be more beneficial for me to speak in context of the collective hikes versus just this recent hike.

In 1997, I embarked on my first Quest, which was also the Pacific Crest Trail.  At the time, what propelled me into the Back-Country was my distaste for the front-country.  I wanted to go back to Nature.  Essentially, I wanted to escape suffering.  There was something I needed to find in the Wilderness that was lost  ~  My Soul. During this first Trail of Searching I actually found more suffering and a strange mix of pain and pleasure.   Along the crest one travels 20 to 30 miles a day.  The body seems to be tested.  But one learns it isn’t the body that is tested, it is the mind.

I learn we take our fears with us wherever we go.  They are also transmitted to us by others.  Fear is a dangerous virus on the trail. Hikers worry about illegal aliens, lack of water, high temperatures, the desert, rattle snakes, cougars, hitch hiking into towns, snow walking, river crossings with too much water, wet feet, blisters, high altitudes, low temperatures, running out of food, bears, and more interestingly, having to face the demons or issues in the forefront of the mind. The list of fears seems endless.

In 1997, I was fast. I had a sense of urgency in my steps because my mind was still in Washington State in an unresolved relationship.  I couldn’t settle into the moment.  Therefore, I walked quickly to get closer to WA State.  I wasn’t in Nature, I was in the future because of what I couldn’t let go of in the past.  I also walked fast because I was scared of the unknown.  PCT hikers often have to walk between 100 and 150 miles between resupply towns.

In the high Sierra, there are even longer stretches.  Rugged mountains are raw and isolated.  The beauty is overwhelming and ever-changing. But your fears are constantly testing you.  You get caught in snow storms. Your feet are numb, and the mind rambles on about what-ifs.  It takes a lot of energy out of a person walking 25 miles a day in addition to the energy that is bleeding from you to one’s personal demons and dramas.  The fear tenses the mind and therefore, the body.  Friction then causes the muscles to get sore, and suddenly one loses alignment. One begins the process of living with an injury and the injury is state of un-ease. I ended up hiking only the CA portion of the PCT that year.  I couldn’t follow through with my intentions.  My ego took a blow.

However, the more long trails I hiked, the more I faced my fears. I learned to make friends with my immediate surroundings.  I began seeing beauty in the faces of all things.  I didn’t believe in the propaganda of fear in other people’s minds.  They could keep their fears to themselves.  As I began to ease up my mind, I saw that my body also began to glide with ease.  I became intimate with the Moment.  I didn’t need to be anywhere.  I was happy where I was and nothing else mattered.  I didn’t have to try to hike anywhere.  I had already arrived.  Therefore, I had no doubts in my mind about achieving my intention of hiking to Canada. I was only to glide upon the wave of the intention. I already knew I could do it by becoming a part of the trail its self.

Why does a person benefit from leaving the familiar

When one journeys into Wilderness, one leaves behind the paradigms of society.  One also can leave behind what they perceived themselves to be.  A high percentage of hikers are in transition.  They longer identify with jobs they had.  They have sold their possessions or have placed items in storage.  A pilgrim has momentarily escaped the rhythms of culture and detached from their former identity.  Daily habits are discarded in exchange for a new and vast landscape waiting to be explored.  One is no longer a slave to the old, but is now partaking in the odyssey of the new.  Detached, one can engage to the rhythm of Nature.

However, what keeps one fully in tune with Nature is the unresolved chatter that plagues the mind.  There is a lot of time to think on the trail, so it allows one to process the feelings of the past.  If one is successful, they can marry themselves into the moment and can hear the greater song of life and living.  For those who continue to worship their fears and who cannot face their own whirlwind of thoughts, they eventually fall off of the trail, as they cannot fully integrate with Nature. They go back to feeding society.

Which fears are you currently in the process of facing?

The distance pilgrimage has become the platform for me to face my fears.  It has shown me that I can take care of my self.   I can let go of expectations and anticipation and just trust in the process.  Everything always works out.  By hiking with little, one learns they can get by in life with very little.  What we do have is always enough.  One unlearns the idea of wanting.  One embraces accepting the gifts that present moment has to offer. One’s sense of past begins to dissolve and one then feels a wondrous sense of freedom. One is liberated into Being.  I have learned not to think in terms of problems.  My mind finds the opportunity to continue dissolving the Learned.  We follow so many unconscious scripts since we have forgotten what it is like to live outside the script.  There are many walls to find, rules to disassemble on the Trail of Life.

Interestingly, this last hike has pushed me beyond fear.  I can become anything I put my mind to.  I can now invite that which I would like to experience in my life.

What do you notice about your relationship to energy and sense of separation?

With nothing on one’s mind while flowing through the great outdoors, one can place their attention and full awareness upon plants, birds, mammals, insects, the scenery, or a combination thereof.  By not thinking, one can feel the essence of what is being observed.  You can see the objects state of mind.  You can see their joys and suffering.  Empathy is achieved. An exchange of energy is encountered.  I am the object and the object becomes me.  We are one.

There is an idea out there in the modern world of Leave No Trace.  This is pure fiction.  The goal is rather to a leave a trace of self.  This is achieved not by destroying the environment or disrespectfully altering it, but by embracing it.  As one walks through an environment, one’s energy field interacts with the energy fields that surround us.  We are, along with the environment, changed forever. Colors affect us. The shapes and form of vegetation move us.  The vista’s invigorates us.  These objects, frequencies of vibration, respond to what we feel. Your energy has left an imprint.  Angry thoughts are absorbed by the environment, and the place will not feel so light anymore.  If people feel elated, it continues to reinforce elation in one’s surroundings.  It is the same with our Sun that gives life to all things on earth. It too feels and absorbs the emotions that we emit on a daily basis.  Everything affects everything else.

How do you think and feel about conditions since your return?

Obviously, I still have issues, but I have fewer issues than ever before.  I have fewer emotional outbursts.  I am more accepting to what is.  For example, before I left, I would react heavily to conservative propaganda. Now I could not care less.  I even laugh at the fear mongering.  I am no longer triggered emotionally like I used to.  I learn to embrace moment to a higher degree.

I just allow relationships to be what they are now.  For example, I used to hold many expectations in my relationship to my girlfriend.  On the trail, this summer, I wanted her to truly learn to walk where the long miles and constant ups and downs would become effortless.  She would often suffer.  I, therefore, became disappointed, and therefore I suffered.  I found myself convincing myself to ride her hard to overcome her blocks. I noticed she sometimes walked with a depressed attitude.  When she got angry, she would enter a higher vibration and could walk more fluently.  So I spurred her sometimes in hope that she would then transcend the anger. However, this did not always work.  It caused tension.  She reached a breaking point, which paradoxically, is what we both needed.  Her bubble burst, and she demanded I let her be.  And so I did, and we have gotten along all the more better since.  I no longer feel the need to change or mold her consciously or unconsciously. The event actually did empower her, and from that moment on, I knew she would make it to Canada.  It had been important to me that she could do this.  If she failed, she would hold onto this failure.  But since she succeeded, she can embrace the idea of success in all that she does.  She now knows how to fulfill her intentions and can bring that skill into everyday life.  And now I feel I can let go of trying to control people, or the environment that I place myself in.

Another issue I had on the trail was that I was a much faster walker than my girlfriend.  I had a totally different rhythm and pace than she did.  I was always waiting for her.  I felt bound and tied to someone else’s rhythm.  This often frustrated me.  However, I finally was able to let this go later in the hike when I realized I was defining my progress by what I used to experience on the trail from my past.  The past, I realized, is gone.  I have nothing to prove by going faster.  In fact, I flipped it around and sensed that by having many variable speeds along the pilgrimage, I could have many more experiences.  It made me more flexible to adjust my gait.  It is a means to change one’s view from one moment to the next.

What would you say are your new rules of engagement for existence?

  • Don’t take anything seriously.
  • Allow the world and people to be what they are.  They are having their own unique experiences.  Trying to change anything comes from a position of judgment.
  • When I have a quiet mind, I can listen more easily to what is truly trying to be conveyed.
  • Flow with change and be flexible.
  • Don’t think about how to act, but feel the moment by dancing with the object of your attention.

How do you understand what it means to live a high-frequency existence?

If we identify with the body, then we live in a heavier place within the mind. Our attachments to our appearance and how we should look or behave keeps us weighted down in a lower frequency.  If we identify with the mind, we can learn to remove or add knowledge that can shift how we perceive the moment.  The more we empty the mind, the higher the vibration one can invite into one’s being.  If we identify not with the mind, but with the Soul, we can learn to find our personal genius which will take us into a high frequency existence.  If we express and manifest our soul purpose, we may then be able to detach or dissolve the soul into pure spirit.

Which practical experiences suggest to you that you are expanding sensory perception?

As I have emptied my mind of attachments and psychological tendencies and habits, I have been able to see patterns and relationships within the world and within myself with a sense of ease.  Everything I do is easier.  If something seems hard, it is a block that I would like to dissolve and overcome.  I can sense flow and lack of flow.  I can often see what words or habits block spirit and inspiration from entering.  I can see that the physical world is in itself a dream and that what everyone partakes in is a metaphor in action with symbols flying about everywhere.

I can look at a body and see what chakras are blocked. I can interpret my dreams and dissolve tension within me through the messages they give me.  I can ask a question and the answer manifests quickly.  Deja-vu experiences occur frequently.  My purely intended wishes come true and manifest themselves.  Synchronicity often presents its self.  I am exponentially becoming more creative relative to what I used to exhibit.

How do you feel about the supernatural?

The Supernatural is becoming Natural.  I have seen the dream world superimpose its self on the physical world with meaningful messages.  I have seen UFOs in flight.  I have had interactions with ghosts and spirits. I have traveled to other dream realms through relaxation and intention.

What does it feels like to know divine connections?

By exploring Nature and the Outdoors, one finds inner Nature.  What one experiences in the Wild is inside one’s self.  The outer world reflects the inner world.  If one is comfortable in Nature, he is at ease with his own Nature.  If one fears something in Nature, it is an internal block to the Divine.  If one sees a bear or a cougar, and he or she runs, they are in essence running away from themselves.  Being in Nature will show you where you are out of alignment or out of tune with the planet and with your Higher Self.  When one is comfortable in Nature, then you flow with Nature.  The animal kingdom then accepts your presence because you have found your place within it.  You are no longer considered a threat because they sense your peace of mind and not one’s erratic and fearful chatter.  There is Harmony.
