At the threshold of the unknown

The moment you reach the threshold of the deeper unknown, nothing you are taught makes sense anymore. It is outgrown.  Intuition is the dependable compass in all areas of your physical life.  Awareness of the deeper journey arises when you begin to ask questions about the unknown and unknowable where no traditional answers exist.

Everything is felt as a bridge to love, to the recognition of the oneness of being. This is not the concepts mind would have you believe but is known through direct experience.  You may notice a guide during the journey, but such a guide cannot experience for you. Just like the presence of any mentor or inspiration, you come to sense each one is an extension of you.  Each one is reminding you that knowing complete acceptance and self-worth transforms your perceived life experience and what you sense beyond it.

The essence of being transcends any world you believe in or imagine.  The presence of being is in the world but not of it.  At the level of presence or awareness of real self, that which cannot be known, objectified or described, silence conveys timeless messages.  As you notice the stillness, this frees you from an illusions of ego that are never real to begin with. Fear of freedom is ultimately what keeps you focused on identifying with the person you think is you.  Be free and know what souls knows.

"The teacher who is indeed wise does not bid you to enter the house of his wisdom but rather leads you to the threshold of your mind." -Kahlil Gibran

Recognize who you are

Come to your own recognition about who you are.  Do not listen to anything the mind comments about this.  Thoughts are created and perceived to invite you to notice who you are not.   Something watches thoughts. Do not focus on memory.  Even this is imagined.  Do not accept what you are told, what you read or believe.  Look deeper.

Something observes the gradual losing of the identity.  Notice what you are not losing importance and fading out of your scope of awareness.  Certain labels and self perceptions are irrelevant and disappear. You give up sports training and no longer view yourself as a competitive athlete. Everything is and yet your focus goes from general to specific and gradually to nothing.  You can say you are not what you do, not "X, Y, or Z" but what is left? Who can appear and see without you? Sense it in silence.

"We live at the threshold of a universal recognition that the human being is not mere matter, but a potent, energetic field of consciousness." - Michael Beckwith

Recognize the root cause

You do not need to do anything to be and feel free. Suffering of any kind always comes back to perceived lack of freedom. Delve into roots of your own suffering and see them as they are. The more you deny who you are, the less you trust and more you fear.

Only as you acknowledge the essence of being and its ever-present awareness, do you begin to realize problems are in essence, human at the core. The mind is the origin of distortion and misperception of reality. Words and interpretations are human mental filters. of energy  Know you allow or resist the one unified being that is.

From the moment you see and feel everyone as a reflection of yourself, you begin to recognize every encounter is an invitation to love yourself more, to appreciate everything and everyone equally, and to see through the illusions of separation you create. Heartfelt honesty shines though as you gaze into the eyes of another. You are him and he is you. Intrinsic value, is. This said, where does your sense of freedom, suffering and separation come from? What happens as you take responsibility for your perception? Notice what stands out as you realize where your energy and attention go.

"Where attention goes, energy flows and results show."- T. Hary Eker

Why are you here?

If someone asks you 'why are you here?,' what do you say? Common responses include; "to make a difference," "to serve," "to better myself," "to leave a legacy," "to work through karma," "just to enjoy where I am," "to learn lessons," and "that is a very good question! Never thought about it!"  Some or none of these may make sense.   Different answers arise within at different stages of your life depending on you focus.

You may live your life based on conditioned routines, based on what you have been doing for what seems to be a long time. Today, at this moment, you are invited to step back and ask why.  Probe deeper.  Notice if more than one answer presents itself.

"The eye of a human being is a microscope, which makes the world seem bigger than it really is."  - Kahlil Gibran

What is the point of it all?

The moment arises where you just know what you are meant to do and you do it. This is not part of the process of seeking.  Thought is not involved.  It is like an inner voice guides and you feel right where you are, wherever that is.  There is no more fear, self-doubt or hesitation.  It is accepting what cannot be known and surrendering. You know longer ask questions like, "What is the point of it all?" Suddenly, being nothing is it.  Silence and stillness provide timeless answers.  Even peace and tranquility speak.

"The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing." -Socrates
"Knowledge is knowing that we cannot know. " -Ralph Waldow Emerson
