Be the light unto yourself

Notice everyone has the innate ability to create something precious, meaningful. Deep down, Soul knows this and also perfect timing. So, when a cement block appears in our lives, we may initially assume its ugly rock or a metaphor for what prevents us from moving ahead, realizing potential. We may think Higher Self misunderstood our secret wish for freedom, joy, aliveness. Yet, sometimes an idea is too big to move or manifest instantly. The process is what unleashes us.
When we least expect it, the voice of a sculptor emerges from within us. This co- creator will not permit us to destroy what he says we asked for. We're about to have something valuable, wonderful in our midst. What part of us sees as a frustrating mental or physical block, the visionary sees very differently.
Turns out, as the confused mind patiently tolerates the sculptor, the mind slowly begins to understand. The sculptor didn't see a block of cement at all. He saw art! He proceeded to remove all of the cement that didn't belong around the art. The sculptor "saw" inside the rock. Something beautiful emerges in the block. With a flash of light, the sculptor transforms. He becames part of us, taking his place within attributes that make us whole. He is like a soul mate, a spiritual twin-flame, and a wise advisor to help us see the light within ourselves.
Curiously, we never ask the "separate" sculptor's name. It dawns, that is an aspect of true being. Not only do we receive the manifestation we wish for, but we also get an active wisdom guide. This is about expanding perception. Perhaps what is unseen is essential for true seeing, and what gets subtracted or let go from distorted reality is what allows for miracles. We are the light unto ourselves.

Sharpen Soulful Observation

Notice one is never alone. Instances may arise where it feels like your Soul is slowly suffocating, where part of you is holding back from truly living. You may fear failure, judgment or rejection. If, like me, you’ve felt the pulling in your heart and the weight on your shoulders in different directions, it helps to remember discomfort is part of you. Whatever you think or feel at this moment, relates to memories or visions, energies flowing through your etheric and filtering into your mind and emotions. They are valid parts of your life and ways your Soul may be communicating, asking for attention, healing, or change. Life reveals we cannot move forward or listen to Soul if we always pretend to be happy or avoid pain. It surfaces to be loved and accepted. Wisdom is about embracing every struggle and being fully who you are. Soul often speaks to us through life events. The key here is to be observant, see beyond ego. Rather than ask what you want from life, love, or your calling, ask what is best for everyone. Soul may echo very clearly a new path beckons, you've outgrown a career or relationship, are ready study a new subject, move to a new place or create a completely different life. Or, your Soul may echo to practice patience and stick with your current focal point even though it’s hard. Only you know when a lesson is fully learned or whether you still have room left to grow where you are. Trust yourself. Know also that whatever we experience in our physical, emotional and other bodies reflects how we experience Earth's energy, magnetic fields and ongoing shifts in consciousness.

Be That Which is Looking

(Image 7D Sun by David Dreamwalker Diamondheart)

Notice the end of seeking is the beginning if Being, the continual surrender of 'me-ness' so spirit can work through the ego. Notice what it is to turn attention around, turning it on itself. Awareness can be what it is and has infinite capacity to modify itself into an infinite variety of states of awareness. This spectrum is the gamut. We keep looking for true self (what we really are) as a state of "expanded consciousness." Awareness in its natural state is with everyone every moment. Its so ordinary, the mind does't usually see it. That which is real, is always available to All. We no longer make a big deal of it. Only as we turn attention to awareness, does it dawn there is nothing behind it. Awareness exists behind the perceivable, the thinkable. To look within does not imply we look for something amazing to happen, for states of consciousness to change. Looking within is not like looking outside "for something." It means to go to the root and the root is the looking itself. To go within is to turn into that which is looking.

Breathwork opportunities

In light of the current climate, I am increasingly contacted  by people interested in Leonard Orr's Rebirthing, Stanislav Grof's holotropic (cathartic) breathwork and related breathing practices.  As it stands, I offer regular group workshops and private sessions that are tailored to client needs. These services are offered in-person and also remotely. Contact me directly to discuss breathwork and opportunities to live life more fully.  What if personal revelations and living differently are within reach?  Now is the time to trust your intuition and the universe more.

5 Steps to more conscious living

Ever feel like a peice of wood drifting through life, not going in the direction you want to go? Is it clear to you how you got where you are today? Do you feel drawn to change anything?

Living consciously is about taking control of your life, about making deliberate decisions rather than making decisions willy-nilly without thought.  This is about consciously creating the life that we want rather than settling for the one that somebody tells us we deserve. Consider these 10 steps to more conscious living;

1.  Reflect regularly on your life

This involves reflecting on who you think you are, how your feel and behave in different situations.  It includes growing more aware of patterns playing out through your relationships and being open to change.

2. Reflect on how you spend your time

Notice whether you focus attention on what matters most to you or, whether you are working toward doing that in the future. The key is to find courage to stop doing things that do not stimulate creativity or fulfull you, to stop interacting with people who do not matter, stop spending money on stuff we do not need to impress people. What would you ideally be doing and where?

3. Nurture your sense of humor

Laughter is brings balance and recalibrates well-being. What tickles your funny bone? Laugh longer & more often. Spend time with children who giggle and animals that play spontaneously. Be open to allowing some of this to rub off on you. Allow yourself to be silly.  Be okay with it. Lose the conditioned fear of embarassment.

4. Review life goals often

Notice what you truly feel destined to do with your gifts and talents. Are you are in sync or off track? Ru moonlighting? Its useful to grow aware of the nature of distractions we create or excuses we make to hold ourselves back from doing what the heart knows fuels our spirit.

5. Reflect on your impact on the environment

This includes what you eat, how its produced, how far it travels to get to you. How do you feel when you eat? Are you being authentic, eating what feels right or making changes as your body gives you signs to do so? Which modes of transport do you use? Be mindful that everything we do affects more than us, but everything around us in some way.
