Notice what is self-evident

Notice what the mind says is real, important and worth your attention.  Mental thoughts focus your perception on external worlds, on a sense of a future state or circumstance to work toward.  Observe the range of emotions you feel and what they point toward.

Notice the essence of being is here in the stillness and awareness amidst all else.  What is self-evident in the mind distracts you from what is ever-present beyond it.  To quiet the mind reveals another kind of stepping stone. Intuition allows the unveiling of inner activities and that which has no name.  That which is validates itself in silence.

"No one remains quite what he was when he recognizes himself." -Thomas Mann

Stop, and see what happens

Notice what happens as you stop doing, denying or asserting anything.   This means you cease agreeing and disagreeing, shift to the silent observer perspective.  Feel the state of receptivity, the awareness that knows you have never been what you appear or pretend to be.  Everything points toward something that is is listening attentively now.

Now, this kind of listening is not limited to sound.  It goes deeper, to detect energy of love and fear, to feel sensations of the unspeakable.  It recognizes everything is constantly communicating with and through you in its own language.  Attune to what the body is telling you through signals, to what the mind says through its ego personality.  Notice the power and intention in silence.  Read the sand, moon and stars.  Every aspect of nature is engaged in soulful dialogue. Are you aware?

"I guess I've spent my life listening to what wasn't being said." -Eli Khamarov

Recognize who you are

Come to your own recognition about who you are.  Do not listen to anything the mind comments about this.  Thoughts are created and perceived to invite you to notice who you are not.   Something watches thoughts. Do not focus on memory.  Even this is imagined.  Do not accept what you are told, what you read or believe.  Look deeper.

Something observes the gradual losing of the identity.  Notice what you are not losing importance and fading out of your scope of awareness.  Certain labels and self perceptions are irrelevant and disappear. You give up sports training and no longer view yourself as a competitive athlete. Everything is and yet your focus goes from general to specific and gradually to nothing.  You can say you are not what you do, not "X, Y, or Z" but what is left? Who can appear and see without you? Sense it in silence.

"We live at the threshold of a universal recognition that the human being is not mere matter, but a potent, energetic field of consciousness." - Michael Beckwith

Peace is here

How the mind and body feel do not reflect the untouchable awareness you are.  You decide what thoughts mean or if thoughts are meaningless.  Nothing needs to change for you to be at peace.  This state of being is here, now. A quiet mind exists already. The silent observer is present within. Is your attention here or on the restless mind?

Notice what happens as you shift away from the judgments, away from the search for whatever represents freedom for you in the external world.  Notice what happens as you realize you are not the body, not the mind, but that which observes and is aware of it all. In letting go of all you think is you, the silence and truth of reality reveals itself.  Love unconditionally.  Behave as if you are convinced all is well and acceptance is.

"Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without." - Buddha

Let things be as they are

Feel what existence is like as you not only forgive without question, but you intuitively see beyond error.  There is no chaos, imbalance, nothing to undo or rectify.  You no longer act out of fear.  You perceive no problems, no need for solutions. Dissatisfaction and restlessness are gone.  You are not at war with the mind, or struggling to stop thinking.  You drop pretensions, drop hypocrisies, and willingly let go of conditioning.

Observe what happens as you let go of the attitude of control and manipulation.  Nothing anyone says or does fazes you.  What has no effect ceases to exist in your scope of awareness.    As you let go of agendas, let go of the desire to transform, to self- improve or better understand, related people and situations dissipate that are incompatible with your energy vibration.  The intention of realizing ambitions, becoming famous or accessing magical power do not cross the radar screen.  You no longer notice opportunities to actively bring these things into your experience.

As you let things be, the desire for more ceases. History is irrelevant. A sense of the past fades.  This is the returning to innocence, seeing things as they are without the filters of mind. You allow the natural state of being to reveal itself. Just being natural, being yourself is nothing extraordinary.  This is about noticing what is, that is all.

Consider when Lin Chi was asked, ”What has happened to you? People say you have become enlightened,” he shrugged his shoulders and said, ”Happened? Nothing. I cut wood in the forest, and carry water to the ashram – carry water from the well, cut wood because the winter is approaching.”

"Man is a social animal; an individual who is unsocial naturally or not accidentally is either beneath our notice or more than human." - Aristotle
